Hello Players,
We still don't have all results for Match Day 5 (Sunday), but I'd thought I'd brief you on the first round of the play-offs. It will be played on Wednesday, Feb 28. Players from places 1-4 in group stage will be paired one against another (A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3, (...) D1 vs C4). They will play only one match. However, their average scores from the group phase will count as the second match. Players who are better across such two matches, will advance to round 2 of the play-offs.
Let's see the current situation in each group.
Group A
@browery, @mervinthepogi and @edycu007 can all finish on the first position. @fredkese has played @homesteadlt in a direct match for the 4th place. The former can still get higher than @edycu007.
Group B
@bucipuci, @manuvert and @cezary-io are still in play for the pole position. The latter, however, can even drop out of the top 4. @chichi18 and @notak played a direct match on Sunday, the winner is definitely in the playoffs, but even the losing side can make it. Quite complex situation here!
Group C
@danmaruschak finishes first here. The other three play-offs slots will be decided between @new.things, @ptaku and @sk1920. Even @practicaleric can make it - theoretically.
Group D
Group D is the easiest to assess. @masoom won all 5 matches and finished first. @benbow2017 will most likely get ahead of @merthin, as he has one more match to be accounted for. @marianomariano will take the 4th place (unless @stefannikolov did "@bucipuci" and scored 43 or more on Sunday)
