I love this absolute standout of a Blood Maker by @deddywox. I do feel that so many of the Splinterlands art pieces are images that have been tweaked slightly to fit the Splinterlands characters, but this piece is epic and so obviously represents the insanity of a character that cannot be reasoned with.
Hi everyone!
Does anyone know what is going on with DEC the past few weeks?
We had a big drop in DEC supply during the 5th Birthday DEC burning event, but the two big drops I imagine is one or two people... I just don't understand why. You can burn SPS for DEC and you can burn cards for DEC - but I don't know of anything you can get for burning DEC. Is it just gone?
We're finally seeing a price drop for Heloise the Hollow:
I assume the price will drop further around the 60-70 editions... and then I assume pick up again around the 80-100 editions as people start to worry about missing out entirely. I've still never seen the card out in the wild, but I'm assuming it's just a matter of time before I get absolutely trounced by Heloise.

Whoa! I did not realize that I finished exactly on the cusp of Champs III! If I had lost one more game I would have been bounced out.
I actually got into Champs III a couple of days earlier than usual - so I've just been mindlessly playing, collecting as much Glint as possible. I would have been so mad if I bounced myself back to Diamond without realizing. Yeesh.
I am finding that I'm not paying enough attention to Splinterlands while I'm playing, and so I am losing a lot. I know the Splinterlands team really does want the majority of people to have about a 50% win rate, and I'm pretty much on the money there... but I'm just finding I'm not thinking real hard about individual games, and so I lose a lot.
I think generally I'm seeing my energy levels as something to burn through... I feel relieved when I get down to 0 energy - and then sometimes I miss it when it is at 0. Splinterlands is so good to play when I've got a meeting starting in a few minutes and don't want to start a new task... but I do find it arduous when I have, say, 20 energy available.
I haven't had a lot of luck with Ulfga the Blighted that I got last season. It's a really fun card to play, with a fun mechanic... but I've noticed that it usually takes too long for the poison to kill enemies to make a difference.
My favourite build is using the Elias Max Pruitt summoner and giving Armored Strike and Piercing Jared Scar with a Flank card in the first spot. It doesn't always work, but it is really fun when it does...

On the plus side, here are the loot chests that I got this season:
Modern Diamond III (1 Ultimate, 7 Major, 10 Minor)
Modern Diamond II (2 Ultimate, 8 Major, 11 Minor)
Wild Diamond I (3 Ultimate, 9 Major, 12 Minor)
Wild Champs III (4 Ultimate, 10 Major, 13 Minor)
Overall : 10 Ultimate Loot Chests, 34 Major Loot Chests & 46 Minor Loot Chests.

I fell short of my Glint Goal of 537,500 again...
I am 47500 Glint short, so let's see what I can burn to make up the difference...
This guy will do.
Here is where I'm sitting with Legendries right now:
I've maxed Frigid Wolf already, and I'm close to maxing a couple of others. I'm guessing I'm only a season or two away from moving from Legendries to Rares.
10 Legendary Draws for 350,000 Glint with 10 Alchemy potions:
Alright! A gold Frigid Wolf... awesome. I'll either burn that or sell that later to grab loose legendaries I need for max.
I've now also maxed Endless Gibbon and Warborn Chieftain which I'm really pleased with. That stun ability on the Warborn Chieftain should come in very handy.
This is where I'm up to with my Epics:
Maybe I can get one or two of these up to level 5... let's see...
25 Epic Draws for 187,500 Glint with 25 Alchemy potions:
Alright - 2 gold Shock Troopers and a gold Khazi Conjurer. My gold Shock Trooper is now the same level as my normal foil... so that's super nice.
Olivia of the Brook is now Level 5, which is honestly the card I'm most liking to bring in if I think a battle might last for a while... so happy with that. All in all, a good batch of rewards.

Reducing season by season... but still very helpful. This season I sent my rental DEC to the DEC:SPS LP. I'm sitting at position 399 in the Legends leaderboard. I don't want to drop out of the top 500 so I can get a title for my land.

I remembered to claim both my Land SPS and my LP SPS before the end of the season - so hopefully next season is an accurate SPS seasonal metric. Even though it's inflated, it does kinda mean I made $167 USD this fortnight for playing a game. Not too shabby. (Not including the $20ish dollars in DEC rental... and I have no idea how to value the EoS reward cards or the loot chest rewards.)

All in all, pretty successful.
At some point I'm going to have to think seriously about upward mobility up the leagues. I don't think my collection or my skillset is much lower than people hanging out in higher leagues, and I'm missing out on Glint by not being there.... but I'll either need a ton of energy or a Heloise to get there. It feels bananas to spend $700-1000 USD on a card... so yeah, I'm not sure.
Hope the game is still fun for you. Thanks for reading!
