I live in a country where people judge without knowing who you are or the reason for your actions, I haven't met any vegetarians before but I am sure whenever I finally meet one I won't judge them because everyone has the right to do whatever they like with their lives.
I have never disputed the fact that some people choose to be a vegetarian and the very first time I heard about vegetarians I googled to see what it takes to be a vegetarian. Because it is very rare in Nigeria to come across vegetarians, even though they exist.

Being a vegetarian doesn't mean the person is not healthy according to what I saw on Google, in fact, vegetarians are very strong, and healthy people based on my research because I love to know more about something whenever I hear them for the first time.
When I was a kid, I didn't know what it felt like to eat meat or how yummy roasted fish tasted because my mom never bought them for me and my siblings, and that was because she couldn't afford it.
At first, I thought I was a vegetarian because we didn't eat anything aside from vegetables in our house when I was little, the only time we did eat fish was during the festive season and that was because people would share food and we would get to eat meat or fish. But after doing my research I realized that I just love vegetables and that is very far from being a vegetarian.
From what I researched, I noticed that some people choose to be vegetarian because they are so compassionate towards anything that has lived, while some just don't like eating fish or meat because they feel like those animals don't deserve to be killed.
One of my elder sisters has this habit, whenever it is December she doesn't like to see where people are killing chickens. But then, we thought she just didn't like the smell of the chicken and when she became an adult she told my mom how much she hated to see animals being killed.
Whenever she witnessed where animals are being killed she wouldn't eat meat or fish for some time, until she forgot about it before she would eat meat again.
Last year December, she invited us to her house because her husband was having a birthday party, despite all the fried chicken and grilled meat my sister chose to drink water and ate her rice without fish or meat, I asked if she had become a vegetarian since I haven't met one before.
She replied that she isn't a vegetarian but she finds it so hard to eat meat especially chicken whenever she sees where they were killed.
All through the party she avoided meat at all costs, even her husband testified that she didn't eat chicken whenever he brought it home.
I love fried chicken so I packed enough home since she wouldn't eat them. Three days ago, she called me again that her husband had brought plenty of fish and that I should come over so that I could take out of it.
Well one thing I know for sure is that being a vegetarian is not a crime, neither is it a sin but what the person feels like it is best for him or her.
I love vegetables but I am not a vegetarian and I have always wished to meet vegetarians so that I could see how it feels to be one.
