Year-End Garden Update: Growth, Challenges, and Plans for January

in voilk •  2 days ago
This is the latest update on my garden before the year ends. I’ve already transplanted the excess seedlings of tomatoes and chilies into other containers. As for the smaller, newly sprouted ones, I removed them and used them as fertilizer for the soil.🌱

There’s no guarantee that the transplanted tomatoes and chilies will survive since everything was done quickly. However, I made sure to use fertile soil, arranged it layer by layer with dried leaves, and ensured there were no small stones mixed in.🌱

I can’t remember what time I did this. Perhaps I did it quickly in the morning before heading to work. The containers were already prepared before I transplanted the chilies and tomatoes. As for the other excess plants, I moved them to nearby areas.

I think they will survive, especially since the weather is cool now, not hot, and they don’t need much watering. Watering twice a week should be enough. My next challenge will be dealing with the insects that damage the leaves.

I need to prepare an organic or natural insect repellent. I only use crushed garlic and onion soaked in two glasses of water. I add two tablespoons of vinegar for extra acidity, which doesn’t harm the plants since the vinegar is naturally derived from coconut.🌱

That’s all for now. Next year, in the first month of January, I’ll provide an update on all my plants and their progress.🌱
