Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗

Schools are all important and integral parts of our society; they provide the requisite and suitable platform for learning at all levels. While schools are a blessing to our learning and formative stages of life, every school is distinct from the other.

Some of the distinguishing factors include their vision and mission statements, core values, morality, sets of principles, and method of teaching and instructing, amongst others.

One key component that sets a school apart from another is their uniform. The student or pupil of a particular school can easily be identified, not by what he or she is saying or how he or she is eating but by the uniform the student or pupil is putting on.

Uniforms are an integral part of a school's identity, and they make a big deal out of it, so much so that they are intentional about the quality of the material, the selection of the design, the color combination, and even other accessories that accompany the uniform.

Schools are so deliberate about their uniforms that a student or pupil could get punished for not being completely or appropriately dressed.

A few of my reasons for choosing school uniforms over casual clothes include:

    1. The uniformity in it makes it beautiful.
What a beauty to behold a set of people all uniformly dressed. Just writing this reminds me of a military procession I watched on television, in which they were all uniformly dressed and orderly arranged in formation. Uniforms make the students or pupils appear as one single unit, not a divided, scattered bunch. This uniformity distinguishes one school from another.

    2. It will reduce unhealthy competition.
I have seen the extents students and pupils go to and beyond to "out-dress" each other on days when they are allowed to dress in clothes other than their school uniforms. While parents want their children or wards to look smart and beautiful, the students are in a competition to appear more classy and expensive than each other. While from a distance you see a set of students all colorfully and exquisitely dressed, standing in pairs and discussing, you may not hear the whispers of "my cloth is finer than yours" or "your cloth is not half as fine as mine."

    3. It will also promote decency to an extent. Every school has its rules, and that includes dressing decently. Allowing students to dress in their own clothes might lead to indecent dressing. We live in a time where exposing one's body is seen as a thing and fashion, mostly with young ladies. This can also cause distractions, disrupting the learning environment.
