Here is my entry for #monomad challenge that hosted and curated by @monochromes
My post for today will talk a little about the irony of a humanitarian organization in my town. The Indonesian Red Cross (aka PMI) is committed to carrying out activities in the social humanitarian field with the participation of community volunteers as the organization's strength. This organization has the ability to handle accident, health emergency sufferers, and help evacuate them to existing health facilities. PMI always develops cooperation with partners, both those who provide health services such as health centers, treatment centers, polyclinics, hospitals, and other ambulance service providers. Ambulance services are one of PMI's humanitarian services.
What is the irony as I mentioned above? Here, in our place, this humanitarian organization is chaired by a politician. Even actively elected as a member of parliament in the provincial capital. This dual position is the problem when the main priority of the chairman is not in the PMI institution. The damaged and abandoned ambulance is clear evidence that the chairman neglects the humanitarian institution he leads. The ambulance obtained from a grant of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia rotted in front of the eyes of its members. No one made a sound, everyone seemed to obey the chairman.
