After several days of vacation, when I returned home at the beginning of the year I found this plant with its leaves super battered due to lack of watering, both the foliage and the substrate were totally dry to the point that I thought I was going to lose the plant. However, I saw that the stem was still healthy and I decided to try to recover it.
I took out my pruning tools, disinfected them and proceeded to cut the branches. I also removed the leaves from the plant, the ones at the base, and it looked like this:
A few days later some sprouts began to grow, but I noticed that the stem had a kind of fungus and was getting wet, so I decided to put ground cinnamon to heal the wound and also as a natural fungicide.
The results were optimal, with this I was able to fight the disease that was plaguing my plant. It has been more than three months since I did this pruning and look how it has greened up, the new shoots are very beautiful. Fortunately I was able to rescue my plant.
I also had to prune the oregano recently because due to the drought and the intense sun that was beating down on the region where I live, it has been drying out, losing several branches which were completely dry.
Notice that the lemon balm plant that I had planted in the front part of the oregano, to defend it from the cats, is no longer there, it has dried up completely. I hope that this pruning will allow it to put out new branches and my oregano can also be saved.
Fortunately the rains have started and the last few days it has been raining daily which has allowed my dracaena to have a vibrant green color.

Una poda necesaria: rescatando mi árbol de la felicidad
Saludos amigos amantes del jardín, hoy voy a mostrarles la manera como evite que muriera mi arbolito de la felicidad, así lo llaman en mi localidad pero su nombre científico es Dracaena fragans.
Después de varios días de vacaciones, al regresar a casa a principios de año encontré esta planta con sus hojas super maltratadas debido a la falta de riego, tanto el follaje como el sustrato estaban totalmente secos a tal punto que llegué a pensar que iba a perder la planta. No obstante, vi que aún el tallo se mantenía saludable y me animé a intentar recuperarlo.
Saqué mis herramientas de poda, las desinfecte y procedi a hacer el corte de sus ramas. De igual manera quité las hojas de la planta, las que están en la base y quedó de esta manera:
A los pocos días le comenzaron a salir unos retoños, pero noté que el tallo tenía una especie de hongo y se humedecía, así que decidí colocarle canela molida para cicatrizar la herida y además como fungicida natural.
Los resultados fueron óptimos, con esto pude combatir esa enfermedad que estaba azotando mi planta. Ya han pasado más de tres meses que hice está poda y miren como ha reverdecido, los retoños nuevos están bien bonitos. Afortunadamente pude rescatar mi planta.
También tuve que hacer recientemente una poda al oregano ya que debido a la sequía y al sol intenso que estaba azotando la región donde vivo, este se ha ido secando, perdiendo varias ramas las cuales estaban totalmente secas.
Fíjense que la planta de toronjil que había sembrado en la parte delantera del oregano, para que la defendiera de los gatos, ya no está, se ha secado por completo. Espero que esta poda le permita echar ramas nuevas y también pueda salvarse mi orégano.
Afortunadamente ya han comenzado las lluvias y los últimos días ha llovido a diario esto ha permitido que mi dracaena tenga un color verde vibrante.
