As sometimes I bring reviews of food places today I will do it but in a different way and at the end I hope you understand me so you can comment.

Saturday I had a very busy day because from early in the morning I was running errands delivering properties in various parts of the city and visiting others, far from my home. Since coming back home meant being late for a very important visit, I decided to have lunch outside the house, something quick and since I had been craving for roast chicken for a while I took the opportunity to try one of the most demanded places, this place called “Rico Pollo”.

I ordered a breast quarter with rice and french fries because it was the best option, this place is what they call a take-out place where you order only to go. As you can see in the pictures, autumn looks like winter and I had to choose a good place to eat.

In front of the local there is a square with several benches where I could sit but I did not want to because it looked very desolate so I walked about 100 meters to a shopping center that had a nice green space where I sat on a wooden bench with a nice view, the least gray I found.

To make it quick and painless, everything was tasteless, not even the sauces had any flavor that I could rescue, the potatoes were not crispy but at least everything was fresh, except for the rice that left much to be desired. The truth is that I was not surprised because that is how most of the food is in these fast food places, nor am I surprised that many people line up to buy there because people do not like to cook and prefer to order something like that for lunch.

Despite this disappointment that moment was not unpleasant because I had the company of a little dog that as a good stray dog came to ask me for food, it was not that he jumped on me but he kept his distance, he was not discreet but polite, he sat next to me and then lay down to wait while I ate. As it was a lot of unpalatable food for me I started to cut pieces of chicken and threw them to him and he caught them in the air with a lot of precision enjoying every bite, that gave me a lot of joy as at least he was enjoying that breast.

Once the chicken was finished I showed him the empty plate and as they say in my land “eat and run”, and he left me alone there without saying thank you or anything.

But never doubt the nobility of dogs because after 2 minutes he came back and thanked me with his eyes and I also thanked him for his company because he made me feel good, protected and made me forget how busy the day had been.

Then I went to the south end of the city to show an apartment, I arrived 15 minutes early and the person interested in seeing it arrived half an hour late and as the property is rented by a not at all patient and uncooperative person we were not received. In spite of that the person who went to see it was very nice and receptive, we took a tour of the property so she could better locate the view and she was very grateful, pointing out that anything would be available during the week.

When I got home my wife greeted me very warmly as she missed me, I missed her a lot too, we always had lunch together, in fact while I was having lunch I sent her pictures of the doggy. I told her how it went and she motivated me to write what happened from the point of view of the good attitude, this ingredient is very important when facing situations that are beyond our control or in moments where everything seems bad but that allow us to see the beautiful and pleasant.

Hola gente de Hive en esta comunidad de Foodiesbeehive, espero que todos estén muy bien.

Como algunas veces traigo reseñas de sitios de comida hoy lo haré pero de una forma distinta y al final espero que me entiendan para que puedan comentar.

El día sábado tuve un día muy ajetreado porque desde temprano estuve haciendo diligencias entregando propiedades en varias partes de la ciudad y visitando otras, lejos de mi casa. Como volver a casa representaba llegar tarde a una visita muy importante, decidí almorzar fuera de casa, algo rápido y como desde hace un tiempo andaba antojado de pollo asado aproveché la oportunidad de probar uno de los locales que más demanda tiene, este local llamado “Rico Pollo”.

Pedí un cuarto de pechuga con arroz y papas fritas porque era la mejor opción, este local es lo que llaman un local de comida al paso donde se pide solo para llevar. Como quizás puedan ver en las fotos el otoño parece invierno y tenía que elegir un buen lugar para comer.

Frente al local hay una plaza con varias bancas donde me podía sentar pero no quería porque se veía todo muy desolado así que caminé unos 100 metros hacia un centro comercial que tenía un lindo espacio verde donde me senté en una banca de madera con una linda vista, la menos gris que encontré.

Para hacerlo rápido y sin dolor, todo estaba desabrido, ni las salsas tenían algo de sabor que pudiera rescatar, las papas no estaban crocantes pero al menos todo estaba fresco, salvo el arroz que dejó mucho que desear. La verdad no me sorprendió pues así es la mayoría de la comida de esos locales de comida al paso, ni me sorprende que mucha gente haga fila para comprar allí pues a la gente no le gusta cocinar y prefieren pedir algo así para almorzar.

A pesar de esta decepción ese momento no fue desagradable porque tuve la compañía de un perrito que como buen perro callejero se acercó a pedirme comida, no fue que se me lanzó encima sino que mantuvo su distancia, no fue discreto pero si educado, se sentó a mi lado y luego se acostó a esperar mientras yo comía. Como era mucha comida desabrida para mí comencé a cortar pedazos de pollo y se los lanzaba y este los agarraba en el aire con mucha precisión disfrutando mucho de cada bocado, eso me dio mucha alegría ya que al menos él estaba disfrutando de esa pechuga.

Una vez que se acabó el pollo le enseñé el plato vacío y como dicen en mi tierra “Indio comido, Indio ido”, y me dejó solo allí sin decir gracias ni nada.

Pero jamás duden de la nobleza de los perros porque a los 2 minutos volvió y me agradeció con su mirada y yo también le agradecí por su compañía porque me hizo sentir bien, protegido y me hizo olvidar lo atareado que había sido el día.

Luego me fui al extremo sur de la ciudad a mostrar un departamento, llegué 15 minutos antes y la persona interesada en verlo llegó media hora tarde y como la propiedad está arrendada por una persona nada paciente y poco colaboradora no nos recibieron. A pesar de eso la persona que fue a verla fue muy agradable y receptiva, dimos una vuelta a la propiedad para que pudiera ubicar mejor la vista y quedó muy agradecida, señalando que cualquier cosa iba a tener disponibilidad entre la semana.

Al llegar a casa mi esposa me recibió con mucho cariño ya que me extrañaba, yo también la extrañé mucho, siempre almorzamos juntos, de hecho mientras almorzaba le mandé fotos del perrito. Le conté como me había ido y me motivó a escribir lo que había pasado desde el punto de vista de la buena actitud, este ingrediente muy importante a la hora de enfrentar situaciones que se escapan de nuestro control o en momentos donde todo parece malo pero que nos permiten ver lo bonito y agradable.
