Very happy to be able to share stories with you today. Even though, I'm a little busy, I have to write so I can create stories and remember all my daily journal.
Do you ever love some food? of course all people have a love foods. One of the things I want to share with you is a very pleasant experience when I went on holiday to Kuala Lumpur last year.
Really, Kuala Lumpur is the city that I like the most. Why? Even though the city is just like a country's capital in general, Kuala Lumpur has stories and experiences that are priceless. Even though I visit there often, I never get bored of always stopping by. Kuala Lumpur has many restaurants that promise my taste buds with delicious taste, full of flavor and great experience.
One of my favorites is Banana Leaf Restaurant which is located on the side of Batu Caves road, Gombak. It can be seen just a few steps from the main door of Batu Caves which is famous for its temple inside the cave. This is a place that I think is a must visit if you stop by in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur.
As the name suggests, Banana Leaf, which means very broad, like the wide leaves and also the most challenging aroma when combined with food that will emit aromatics that make our mouths can't wait to devour. That's the exact philosophy of this restaurant.
I came in the morning for breakfast, of course with an empty stomach. Want to find the right savory food, high in protein and filling. The answer is this restaurant. being the only place where without thinking twice I immediately sat down and ordered various foods.
Wait, here is a menu book, but for breakfast, there are several food menus that are not yet available, so you have to be patient and wait. I ordered several menus that were available, of course Indian food breakfast, full of bread such as martabak and parata. Complete with sauces of various kinds and colors.
At first I just wanted to eat mutton biryani, I really like this menu, it's my favorite whenever I'm in an Indian restaurant. Truly loved with its very appetizing spices. I think biryani is the most amazing food discovery in the whole world. But unfortunately, the biryani menu can only be ordered from lunch to dinner. Not valid for breakfast. But its okay, there are lots of other menus.
I ordered murtabak with roti canai on the outside. This murtabak is filled with finely ground rolled skin and fried together with onions, eggs and a little mutton filling. I asked for the mutton filling which was chopped then with an abundance of egg making the taste strong with protein. I think we need protein in the morning to help the body's cells work properly.
Apart from that, I ordered thosai, one of the martabak without filling, pureed with flour which is baked thinly and wide, until perfectly cooked. Almost like pancakes. Yes, these are indeed different pancakes, because generally pancakes are round and topped with sweet or fruit toppings such as strawberries and other berries, as well as honey. However, thosai is different, served with a savory sauce full of special spices from India.
Thosai has its own characteristics even though it is similar to pancakes in general, seriously, this is really very delicious, especially as there is a slight hint of bitterness from the grill.
of course, my favorite one is a bottle with mint water.
In my opinion, breakfast at Oh Yeah Banana Leaf Restaurant should be a tourist destination when visiting Batu Gombak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Only a few meters from the very famous Batu Caves.
