In this video, I discuss how in less than a month after Rebellion packs went out of sale in the team store we have seen a 25+% rise. With the DEC discount you could have grabbed them from the store for $3.20 and probably even cheaper on the secondary market (I saw some as low as $3).
Considering that the price in the non-card market is now around $4 and even higher on Hive Engine, I take this as a great sign that the set has held it's value quite well. The underlying cards have not quite caught up, but pack value is what most people tend to look at when it comes to measuring the success of the set post sale.
I want to be very clear though - I'm not saying that Rebellion pack prices are going to moon or anything like that. Of course, it is always possible we see Untamed 2.0 if a mass of players do come in this year but as of now we haven't seen anything to indicate it will be at that same level.
My only point is that unlike Chaos Legion, the value of these packs started rising the moment they were out of the store and we are seeing significant scarcity in the unopened circulating supply. That number is only continuing to dwindle down each day.
The only X factor in all of this is the nearly 900k packs sitting in the DAO. What will happen to those is anybody's guess but I expect them to make their out at some point. Hopefully it will happen at the right time.
