The theater is not for all audiences, although during the visit to the Simón Rodríguez Cultural Complex there was a large number of people, which in general is never too many. This time, perhaps because of the celebration days, many people came to enjoy this charming staging.

The space I consider that it was small, I had not visited the Complex for a long time, if it has been remodeled, the room that is used for different activities not only theater has changed a lot, for me, I think that instead of enlarging it they have reduced its spaces. The space is pleasant, the air conditioning worked well and as for the acoustics, the participation of each actor and actress was heard very well.

What was the content of the play?

It was inspired by the homonymous poem of the writer Helì Colombani, the truth is that I had not heard it, they say it is recognized but in cultural environments and for those who are fully in the world of rescuing poets, writers and everything that has to do with the literary contribution. I researched about this author and yes, he is Venezuelan, from Irapa, Sucre state, in his life he was committed to democracy in Venezuela in the times of Pere Jimenez, he was imprisoned by the National Security for saying words before the tomb in honor of the poet Andres Eloy Blanco in 1955.

While he was imprisoned he wrote a book that he does not know how it reached Spain and was published in other horizons. After there, now free...he made his life in different places in Venezuela, among some of his activities he was director of the Ateneo de El Tigre and the house of culture of this city; he worked in the direction of culture of the UDO (Universidad de Oriente).

In those years the hope for a better quality of life was immense, I remembered my parents who came from Valle de la Pascua, Guárico state, not to the city of El Tigre but to Cantaura in this search where my fourth sister was born, then the other 4 of us were born there. Esta historia de cómo nació la ciudad y en lo que se ha convertido con el pasar de los años fue representada por un grupo de teatro que lleva 12 años de actividad cultural en esta ciudad, empresa de teatro llamada Punto Escénico Producciones.

El llamado cultural nace de cada persona que en sus adentros puede gerenciar la parte escénica, convertir un momento en una obra teatral para representar ante un público que le agrada este tipo de actividades. El teatro no es para todo público, aunque en la visita al Complejo Cultural Simón Rodríguez se dejó observar una cantidad de personas que por lo general nunca es demasiada. Esta vez quizás por los días de celebración muchos se dieron la cita para disfrutar de esta encantadora puesta en escena.

El espacio considero que quedó pequeño, tenía mucho tiempo que no visitaba el Complejo, si tiene remodelaciones, la sala que se utiliza para diferentes actividades no solo de teatro ha cambiado mucho, para mí, pienso que en vez de agrandarla la han reducido en sus espacios. El espacio si agradable, el aire acondicionado marchó bien y en cuanto a la acústica la participación de cada actor y cada actriz se escuchó muy bien.

¿Cuál fue el contenido de la obra de teatro?

Estuvo inspirado en el poema homónimo del escritor Helì Colombani, la verdad no lo había escuchado, dicen que es reconocido pero en los ambientes culturales y para quienes están de lleno en el mundo de rescatar poetas, escritores y todo lo que tiene que ver con el aporte literario. Me dediqué a investigar acerca de este autor y si, es venezolano, de Irapa estado Sucre, en su recorrido por la vida estuvo comprometido con la democracia en Venezuela en los tiempos Pere Jiménez, fue preso por la Seguridad Nacional por decir palabras ante la tumba en honor al poeta Andrés Eloy Blanco en 1955.

Mientras estuvo preso escribió un libro que no sabe cómo llegó a España y fue publicado en otros horizontes. Luego de allí, ya libre…hizo su vida en diferentes lugares de Venezuela, entre algunas de sus actividades fue director del Ateneo de El Tigre y de la casa de la cultura de esta ciudad; trabajó en la dirección de cultura de la UDO (Universidad de Oriente).

Esta pieza teatral la puedo catalogar como una especie de recordatorio que nos transportó a los inicios de la ciudad petrolera manifestando y dejando ver los valores y la esencia de su gentilicio. A través de versos se recuerda la llegada de los primeros pobladores, las calles de tierra, las pilas de agua, así como el trazado imperfecto de un espacio habitado que lleva el nombre de Casco Viejo.

En esos años la esperanza de mejor calidad de vida fue inmensa, recordé a mis padres que llegaron de Valle de la Pascua estado Guárico no a la ciudad de El Tigre sino a Cantaura en esta búsqueda donde nació mi cuarta hermana, luego allí nacimos los 4 restantes. También recordé junto a mi esposo la llegada de mi suegro que se aventuró desde la Isla de Margarita en el año 1959 con un grupo de familiares y amistades a venir a El Tigre para encontrar esa estabilidad financiera de la que tanto se hablaba en esos tiempos. Hay mucho para contar. El famoso Oro Negro.

Me encantó el escenario muy sencillo, un fondo musical en guitarra que le dio dulzura a esta representación que los que asistimos nos sentimos muy agradecidos por esta pieza teatral que estuvo acompañada de una secuencia de fotografías donde se mostraban esos inicios, personalidades importantes que hicieron vida en la ciudad, fueron protagonistas del avance en muchos aspectos de la ciudad de El Tigre, momentos que quedaron registrados para la historia.
