Splinterlands: Chaos Dragon's Blast is amazing in FabFour ruleset

Splinterlands is a complex game and it allows for various different cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various different rulesets applied and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle that I had and it's about the card Chaos Dragon.

    Featured Cards

Chaos Dragon is a dragon splinter that costs 14 mana. It has the ability flying and scattershot from the very first level. At level 2, it learns blast and at level 3, it learns blind. As a damage dealer, it's a good choice and I like how it can target destroy the backline of my opponent. The only downside is the mana cost.

The ruleset this time Aimless and FabFour. This means that the maximum monster card limit is 4 and all monsters gain the scattershot ability. There are 49 mana available and I am left with the choice of water or dragon splinter.

I used Quix the Devious as my summoner because it reduces my enemies speed and ranged attack by 1. I start off with Diemonshark as my tank with enrage and trample. Then I have Carnage Titan with double strike and reach. Then I have my Chaos Dragon to deal damage. In my last spot is Runemancer Kye with flying and life leech as a damage dealer and a monster to tank any sneak attacks.

    Round 1

It looks I have an advantage over my opponent. My opponent is focused on melee or ranged damage and my entire lineup has armor. I have two magic monsters and one of them is Chaos Dragon with the blast ability.

    Round 3

    round 3.png
Both me and my opponent lost one monster. I do have the advantage though because my magic damage has slowly damaged my opponent's strongest monsters.

    Round 4

At this point, this match is my win. My opponent will be left with his ranged monster and my backline monster would be able to heal up any damage through its life leech ability even if my Chaos Dragon gets poisoned.

I was able to win the match a few rounds later.

    Conclusion

The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. I was a bit lucky because I didn't hit my enemy's void monster during the first few rounds. The blast did a great job of spreading out more damage to my opponent and it worked out better in this fight because there were fewer targets to hit. This allowed my blast to be more effective. With all of that, I was able to finish off my opponent without too many issues.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
