Hey everyone,
Hope you're all doing well and enjoying life. I'm doing great too!
Today, I'm back in this community to take part in the #needleworkmonday contest. For this, I crocheted a key holder.
As you all know, it's Ramadan, so we (Muslims) are fasting from 5 AM to 6 PM daily. Balancing university life, fasting, and studies has been quite challenging. I had been wanting to make this for a while but just couldn’t find the motivation. However, today, I finally got around to crocheting this desk organizer, and it's already proving to be incredibly useful.
The reason I made this holder has a bit of a backstory. Last time, when we returned home for the holidays, we forgot our keys and this isn’t the first time it happened. We often misplace them and struggle to find them when heading out. So, I decided to crochet a holder to keep everything organized. Now, everyone knows exactly where the keys are and can easily grab them before leaving.
For making this holder,I used a 4ply yarn and 3mm crochet hook.I was planning on making it on wire but it was not available at that time so I used the yarn and followed the pattern.
The pattern included making chain according to the preferred size of the holder and then sc in it.
The stitches looked very simple at first but then I started messing up the stitches as the row number increased. So I restarted it and used a small piece of yarn as a stitch marker that really helped.
I was making the one with the hello kitty ears so I did 1dc,3tc,1dc to make the ears which turned out so cute
The tutorial i followed stopped here and did slip stitch as a last row but I wanted it to be more deep so I did two more rows then slip stitch.
I also did some embroidery with my red yarn on the holder.I first did it on the bottom then decided to make corners with it too and that's how I made this

That's all from my side.
See you. Take care 💞
