I am perfect just the way I am.

    Hello ladies of inestimable value, welcome to a beautiful new week. I hope you all are doing great.

    It is no news that plastic surgery has become popular in recent times. Both male and female go under the knife just to alter their body parts so they can look good and the sad part is that they pay heavily for it.

    I must commend @ifarmgirl for bringing out this topic;

    If money is not an issue would you consider having cosmetic surgery to enhance your appearance and which part of your body will you want altered?

    As a teenager then, I had the wish of growing so tall that I will be the tallest in my family. Not only, I wished for a figure eight body with enough flesh and curves at the right places to complement my height, beautiful skin with long hair so that whenever I pass, heads will turn and even break if possible, hehehe.

    What actually prompted my wish was due to the constant bullying I was going due to my slim stature so I thought having them will make them eat their words. As I grew into adulthood I began to understand that I can't have it all and that I do not have the right to chose my natural features. Luckily I got a beautiful chocolate skin, long flawless legs and long hair too. Even with the long legs, I'm still the shortest person in my family plus the slimmest. lol.

    Although I had wished to be on the bigger side before, now I love my smaller side the more. My body is just so perfect that I wouldn't ever dream of having any part of it altered, whatever for? Since I didn't get the features I wished for from my creator, I won't get them from cosmetic surgery even If I have all the money in the world. Of a truth, my body stature now really makes heads to turn and I can't count the number of people, male and female, who have asked for the secret behind it and I will just reply I'm slim for life., lol.

    I haven't even tried getting a second pierce on my ears due to how painful it is, it will now be to go for cosmetic surgery and put myself at risk, no way. I am yet to imagine what will make me think of such when I am so aware of the prevalent risks and complications like

    • Infection from incision which if not handled well may worsen scarring.
    • bleeding that may require blood transfusion.
    • build up of fluid under the skin which may lead to more surgeries.
    • death may even occur in the process including other side effects.
      They are so many which these cosmetologists may not even say.

    I remember few years ago when the news broke out concerning the death of a social media influencer who had gone for body enhancement. The painful thing was that she was naturally endowed but she wasn't contented with the much she had. It's a pity.
    I've read some blogs and even watched videos where some of these people who altered their bodies complain of the pains they are passing through and wished they hadn't gone done it.

    I'm not against cosmetic surgery, at least those who have deformed bodies through accidents or by birth can go for it. Also I do not fault those who do it for reasons other than this, after all it's their body and they are free to do whatever they wish with it. Moreover, it's a free world but you see that kind of freedom that will make me waste my hard earned money on such vanity should not even come.
    My body is a perfect fit and I love me just the way I am with pride.

    This is my entry to the #ladiesofhive weekly prompt.

    Thank you for reading.
