Embracing Sleep, Rest, Dream

Every living thing needs sleep and rest to recuperate lost energy used during the day. It's said by medical specialists that without proper rest and sleep, the human body is likely to break down at any moment when it's least expected. Medical specialists highlighted that teenagers between the ages of 14-17 need approximately 8-10 hours of sleep. Adults need 7-9 hours of sleep, and older adults from the ages of 65 years upwards need 7-8 hours of proper sleep.

People around me know very well that I don't joke with my sleep. It is very important to me that I get enough sleep without disturbance, and if that does not happen, I get pissed off easily, and it has become a habit of mine for as long as I can remember. I am a light sleeper, and even the slightest noise or small movement can wake me up easily, and sometimes I find it strange when I am in a deep sleep and someone is talking near me. I pick up everything the person says at that moment.

It might seem I was already awake, but it has happened countless times, and even the person who was near me at that moment confirmed I was fast asleep when having that conversation. There is also something I noticed, if I am woken by someone and they ask me a question, I quickly respond immediately without taking time with my heavy eyes. In conclusion, I think my six senses are alert to the possibility that danger might happen anytime soon.

Living on this side of the world with insecurity at an alarming rate, it is not advisable to sleep like a dead man so in case of any trouble you will be ready to make your next move of escape to safety. Sleeping is a luxury many people don't have at their disposal. There are people out there who take pills just to get three hours of sleep. It is a blessing to go to bed every day with the opportunity to close your eyes and see another new day.

There is something I kind of find strange while I sleep, which is that I don't dream at all. Once I sleep, everything turns black, and that's how it has been for a long time now. It takes weeks before I dream and I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing, but I am kind of not worried about it because it already seems like a normal thing and there are no health issues that involve not dreaming while sleeping.

There are a lot of people that have different types of routines before going to bed and frankly I am not one of them because I just go with the flow. If my eyes are telling it time to go then I am ready to hit the bed immediately without any fuss. It's nice having a sleep routine but I don't think I will be ready to put up a routine anytime soon. Getting enough sleep is important and I hope you all make sure to take rest at the appropriate time. So guys that will be all for now thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
