Hola amigos Hivers gusto saludarles y compartir en esta hora contenido con ustedes. El fin de semana estuvimos haciendo algo tan hermoso en una comunidad de indígenas Yukpas, ellos para quienes no conocen de esta etnia, son una comunidad indígena venezolana que vive en el estado Zulia, específicamente en el Municipio Machiques, en un tramo de la Serranía de Perijá. El nombre o término Yukpa en su idioma quiere decir “indio manso”. En casi un año que llevamos compartiendo con ellos mi hermano Leo junto a dos pastores de la congregación a la que asistimos y servimos, son una comunidad tranquila y receptiva, de gran corazón.
Hello Hivers friends, I'm pleased to greet you and share some content with you. This weekend we spent time together in a community of Yukpa indigenous people. For those unfamiliar with this ethnic group, they are a Venezuelan indigenous community living in the state of Zulia, specifically in the Machiques municipality, in a section of the Perijá mountain range. The name or term Yukpa in their language means "gentle Indian." In the nearly year that my brother Leo and two pastors from the congregation we attend and serve have been sharing with them, they are a peaceful and receptive community with a big heart.
Cada momento ha sumado experiencias enriquecedoras aún para nosotros, ha sido una retroalimentación, ya que ellos no solo han podido aprender nuestro y recibir de nuestra ayuda como colaboración, sino que cada oportunidad compartida con la comunidad Yukpa, nos toca y ablanda más el corazón, dejando valiosas reflexiones de lo que podemos observar de esta comunidad. Por ello, en medio de cada línea acá compartida quiero transmitirte valiosos aprendizajes y enseñanzas de vida.
Each moment has been an enriching experience for us, a feedback loop, as they have not only been able to learn from us and receive our help as a collaboration, but each opportunity shared with the Yukpa community touches and softens our hearts further, leaving valuable reflections on what we can observe from this community. Therefore, through each line shared here, I want to share with you valuable lessons and life lessons.
Algunas reflexiones...
- No hay limites cuando amas de verdad y quieres con los tuyos compartir felicidad: Visitar esta comunidad nos ha enseñado a cada uno de los que asistimos, como nosotros en mejores condiciones económicas que la de ellos en tantas veces nos limitamos para festejar algún momento o hacer algo y ellos a pesar de sus carencias y circunstancias se accionan en improvisar, hacer, crear y compartir momentos llenos de color y alegría.
Aprende a ser agradecido con lo que tienes y a quienes tienes.
Disfruta cada día de tu vida con lo poco o mucho que puedas tener. No se necesita de tanto para ser feliz, es cuestión de actitud.
En la unidad está la fuerza para sostenerse, sobrevivir y apoyarse los unos a los otros.
Luchar por los tuyos aunque las condiciones sean adversar y la sociedad muy poco te tome en cuenta.
Más allá del clero, color, raza, idioma y religión que aquello que nos una sea el corazón.
Some reflections...
There are no limits when you truly love and want to share happiness with your loved ones: Visiting this community has taught each of us who attended how we, in better economic circumstances than them, so often limit ourselves when it comes to celebrating a moment or doing something, and how they, despite their shortcomings and circumstances, are driven to improvise, do, create, and share moments full of color and joy.
Learn to be grateful for what you have and for those you have.
Enjoy every day of your life with whatever little or much you have. You don't need a lot to be happy; it's a matter of attitude.
In unity lies the strength to sustain, survive, and support one another.
Fight for your loved ones even when conditions are adverse and society takes little notice of you.
Beyond clergy, color, race, language, and religion, let what unites us be our hearts.
Que sea con amor... / May it be with love...
El amor es el mayor motor que impulsa a las más bellas, valiosas y grandes acciones. Por ello, es algo que debe mantenerse en nuestros corazones. ¡Nadie da de lo que no tiene! Definitivamente, es así, quienes tienen un corazón lleno de amor donde quiera que llega irradia eso y lo comparte con los otros. Hay una canción cuya letra dice: Amémonos de corazón no de labios ni de oídos... Y esta línea de ese tema, tiene tanto peso y profundidad para la humanidad, puesto que nos enseña a que no solo en palabras sino de manera pura, genuina, verdadera, no solo por aparentarlo; es ser conscientes plenamente de nuestra lengua, de aquello que sale de nuestra boca y decimos en palabras, se conviertan en acciones.
Love is the greatest driving force behind the most beautiful, valuable, and greatest actions. Therefore, it is something that must be kept in our hearts. No one gives what they don't have! It is definitely true; those with a heart full of love radiate it wherever they go and share it with others. There is a song whose lyrics say: "Let us love one another from the heart, not from the lips or the ears." And this line from that song has such weight and depth for humanity, since it teaches us not only to love in words but in a pure, genuine, and true way, not just for show; it is to be fully aware of our language, of what comes out of our mouths and what we say in words, turning them into actions.
Todo esto también nos dirige a una cosa "la autenticidad", una gran virtud que muestra el valor en una persona en que todo lo que hace demuestra que camina en la verdad y que los sentimientos como acciones que brinda son sin falsedad e hipocresía. Mucho vemos, decimos y hasta nos quejamos de la sociedad actual, pero que estamos haciendo para generar los cambios que conlleven a la armonía y sana convivencia social. En el calor del hogar como padres y madres ¿qué valores inculcamos a nuestros hijos? muchas de las cosas que han sucedido es a causa de las flaquezas y debilidades en el seno del hogar por falta de atención, responsabilidades y compromisos de los padres para con sus hijos; por lo que vemos, una sociedad fracturada, quebrada, con falta de empatía, con falta de genuino amor.
All of this also leads us to one thing: authenticity, a great virtue that demonstrates the value of a person, in that everything they do demonstrates that they walk in truth and that their feelings and actions are free from falsehood and hypocrisy. We see, say, and even complain a lot about today's society, but what are we doing to generate the changes that lead to harmony and healthy social coexistence? In the warmth of our homes as parents, what values do we instill in our children? Many of the things that have happened are due to the weaknesses and frailties within the home due to a lack of attention, responsibility, and commitment from parents to their children. From what we see, a fractured, broken society, lacking empathy, lacking genuine love.
A lo largo de la vida siempre he pensado que si queremos ver un cambio debemos empezar por nosotros y generarlo uno mismo. Aún desde pequeña estando muy niña en mí estuvo ese sentir de hacer acciones que ayudaran a otras personas, hoy por hoy es un hecho el ejecutar planes que contribuyan en la sociedad en esos grupos de personas con necesidad. Antes lo sentía y pensaba en mi interior, si hubo momentos de duda en los que me sentía limitada y con impotencia por el factor económico pero basta un paso, una acción por muy pequeña que sea que inspira, para que otros se admiren y se sumen en la visión. Por tal motivo, para cerrar este contenido, te comparto que tu existencia tiene un propósito grande, descúbrelo y sé un instrumento transformado y valioso para este tiempo.
Throughout my life, I've always believed that if we want to see change, we must start with ourselves and generate it ourselves. Even as a very young child, I felt the urge to take action that would help others. Today, executing plans that contribute to society and to groups of people in need is a reality. I used to feel this way and think about it within myself. There were moments of doubt when I felt limited and powerless due to economic factors, but it only takes one step, one action, no matter how small, that inspires others to admire and share the vision. Therefore, to close this post, I want to share with you that your existence has a great purpose. Discover it and be a transformed and valuable instrument for this time.
