Hi, friend!
Today I want to share a story about a Korean food place in Medan, called Patbingsoo Korean Dessert House, which is located at Komplek Multatuli Blok FF No. 32-33, Hamdan, Kec. Medan Maimun, Medan City, North Sumatra.
This place is close to the Maimun palace, an icon of Medan City. I've been here before when I was in college. Korean nuances are quite felt when entering this place, the music played is all K-Pop music, the place is on the side of the road so it's easy to find. The place is quite Instagramable, it's just that the place is not too big. The service is quite friendly. When we arrived it was already 8pm so it was almost close order. We ordered Rolling chesse, but I forgot to take a picture I only have a video, we also ordered Cheese Tteokbokki, and the dessert was Bibim Patbingsoo.
The price is pretty much in line with how it looks, but I don't think it's recommended for school kids like me then, it's quite fancy.
We bought the rolling chesse for Rp. 188,000 with a filling consisting of beef ribs and chicken wings wrapped in mozzarella cheese.
Cheese Tteokbokki for Rp. 58.000,- which consists of tteok/Korean rice cakes, sausages, and fish cakes mixed with Korean spicy sauce which is quite authentic.
As the name suggests, this place sells more types of bingsoo or ice. Shaved ice with various fillings.
And as a dessert our choice went to Bibim Patbingsoo which is cold shaved ice mixed with quite a lot of fresh fillings such as strawberry and kiwi fruit, jelly, pat or red beans strawberry sauce, and vanilla ice cream in the shape of a sunny side up egg. The yellow color is mango, so it's a perfect dessert. For the price, this is Rp. 48,000,-
All the food we ordered was a shareable size for 3-4 people. The price above does not include tax and service charge.
Okay enough about Patbingsoo Korean Dessert House this time, see you in the next stories. Thanks for reading!
