I so much admire this quote as it brings comfort to a weary soul. Recently, the cost of living in my nation is on the high side. Practically every goods and commodities are on the increase daily. It is kt funny having to price goods in the morning and go back for the same products but only to realize that the goods have soared in price. I was discussing this with a friend of mine who happens to have an own building that she is working on together with her husband. She narrated her ordeal of having to buy cement at a highly ridiculous price. She said within two weeks the cement price has changed more than five times. She had bought cement at 5k, 6k, 7k, and 8k until it got to 13k all these within a short period. The hiked price of the good is not limited to cement only but also to other building materials talk as roofing sheets, plumbing materials and many others.
The cost of living is a subject of debate throughout the country. Many have attributed this to the government policies as being the major factors taking bearings from the new developments that happen when the new president takes charge of the administration. The president has floated the currency meaning that the government won't in any way regulate the worth in currency like it has used to be in the past. This and other implementations of subsidy remove fuel as a huge effect on the cost of living in the country. While many have faulted the president for his decision as being sudden without doing proper consultation and having a backup plan, some people lauded his firm decision as they felt the president has done the best.

There is this saying that upon an action there is always a reaction. The action of our president is what many people perceive as brutal and without thought. Recently, there has been a major protest in the nation as many states have joined in the protection to voice out their suffering. It is difficult to eat three square meals this day. There is a particular story that touched my heart. There was an elderly woman seen begging for alms, though, this is not the first time one has seen this the woman claimed she went to do laundry work for someone at home and also cleaning but the person did pay and ask the woman to come back for her pay. The woman claimed she went back to ask but couldn't meet the person at home. All these and many others are what citizens are facing. Is the cost of living also high in your own country and how are people coping? Is the economy in a state of chaos?
I do believe that phase is bound to come and go. But there is this saying that if the foundation is damaged, what can a righteous do? I just hope our leader will do the needful before the situation gets out of the head.
