There are good and bad days. There are days when you’d smile although and there are days that may be bad although. That’s just life.
Two years back, I was working in a school and I got an offer which was to be teaching a young girl a home lesson. I took the offer and that was because I just finished a joint examination here in Nigeria which decides our fate if we will be admitted into the university or not so I took the job offer just to make sure that I don’t sit at home all the time.
On that day, I woke up in the morning and went to work but I had a very stressful day so the aim was just to go and teach my girl her lesson and go home to sleep. When I got to her place, her mum offered me food and I was very glad because I hadn’t eaten anything since morning. When I finished eating and teaching her the lesson, she gave me some money because she felt I look stressed.
On my way home, a kind guy picked me up on the road and told me I was beautiful. He offered to drive me home and I accepted the offer. When he dropped me home, he still gave me some money. I don’t take money from strangers but I still can’t give a particular reason to why I just accepted the money and when I got inside the house, I realized that our light has been fixed already and there is now water which we didn’t have for some days.
I had a bad day at first but I’m glad the day ended well. I can never forget the day because all what happened to me made me smile on that day. It felt like my birthday because all what people did to me made me smile. I’m glad!
