Hello there!
Ever thought to shut your thoughts by visiting a place that helps you to relax and release all negativity. You might be thinking how's that possible. Let me show you how.Join me in the journey of visiting tapkeshwar temple, which is dedicated to lord Shiva at Dehradun, India. A temple built on a natural cave and the name itself reveals it's meaning. Tap means water droplets falling and keshwar mean lord Shiva. Which combines water droplets falling from natural cave on shivling, which is lord Shiva itself.
As soon as I entered the main gate, something inside me changed, I became more calm and my countless thoughts vanished. I noticed people sitting on the staris of the temple.
Some of them are monks and some are baggers and some people specialised in palmistry. It's their way of earning money. I'm always curious to know about my future but, something I'm afraid is they tell something negative, that's why I avoided them this time. Are you guys are interested to know about you future too, come on who isn't.
In Hindu religion, we offer milk fruit and flowers of the idols of the deity. It is believed to bring luck and ends your bad karma. I brought a basket full of flowers and headed towards the entrance of the temple. The temple is unique in it's own as it is situated on the top of a cave, a natural one. Also it is near tons river offering perfect view to the devotees which brings more calmness to you soul.
Also there were wall arts all over the campus of the temple, I got mesmerized by this art, the color used in it is attractive and I found it effervescent.
After entering through the gate, I witnessed a beautiful view towards the other end of the river tons. There was a big idol of lord Hanuman, the Pawan Putra along with the temple.
I saw lots of idols as soon as I entered the temple. I have taken all these pictures with Samsung galaxy s21 ultra , hope you find them interesting.
The Idols
These idols belong to different Gods worshipped in Hindu religion. Each one has a story behind it, such as why lord Ganesha have elephant head? It's a long story but I'm making it short and crisp for you. So what happened was Goddess Parvati was taking bath and she made a turmeric idol of a boy unknown to her husband Lord Shiva. So lord Ganesha refused to let Shiva inside and per Goddess order. Angry Shiva decapitated Ganesha's head and later attached elephant head after the Goddess Parvati became angry.
The Cave
Moving forward I entered the nature cave and the height isn't much so I have to bend a little at some points. Cave can vary in size and form and here the cave had numerous opening and people were moving forward and backward doing the rituals whereas I was confused, from which opening I should enter. Without thinking much, I entered the opening in front of me and then what I witnessed can't be explained in words.
There were numerous same idols along with pandit doing rituals and numerous devotees. People were praying, crying and doing meditation. Here you can feel the power of God and his presence. In search of hope and to get rid of ongoing trouble people visit this temple as it's believed that your prayers are answered here.
Here are some more pictures of you guys! I have clicked them with my phone samsung galaxy S21 ultra.
In the picture above the idol is called shivling or Shiva Linga who is known for the creation of the whole universe. Then I visited the other side of the temple by crossing the bridge I was completely in awe by the view the this place offers.
The Tons River
The river is called tons and on both bank of river temple is situated which is mostly dedicated to lord Shiva but it does have different God and Godess. As it's a powerful temple, it's quite famous and attracts tourists from all over the India. It's believed that the wish you made here always come true, it's so powerful. Some people also bathed in the river as it's believed to purify you and remove the negativity. It was such a devine visit with a great spiritual experience.
