Buenas noches amigos de #hive hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el mantenimiento ( en lo que a la pintura se refiere ) de mi mezclador de concreto o trompo como popularmente se conoce aqui en Venezuela. Tengo esta mezcladora desde hace aproximadamente 15 años desde que la compre y creo que esta bien conservada a pesar del tiempo y de que yo vivo en la isla de Margarita muy cerca del mar donde las condiciones ambientales no son muy favorables para este tipo de maquinaria de metal y todo a lo que metal se refiere por el factor salitre. Aunque ya le había hecho unas reparaciones en la parte de la torba, que es la parte que más se deteriora por causa del salitre , decidí pintarla ya que el óxido estaba empezando a hacer de la suya, debido al tiempo que lo tengo sin usar ya que los trabajos estan en estos momentos parados o con poca demanda.
Good evening friends of #hive today I want to share with you the maintenance (as far as painting is concerned) of my concrete mixer or trompo as it is popularly known here in Venezuela. I have this mixer for about 15 years since I bought it and I think it is well preserved despite the time and that I live on Margarita Island very close to the sea where the environmental conditions are not very favorable for this type of metal machinery and everything that metal refers to the saltpeter factor. Although I had already made some repairs in the part of the torba, which is the part that deteriorates more because of the saltpeter, I decided to paint it since the rust was beginning to do its own, due to the time that I have it without using it since the works are in these moments stopped or with little demand.
Use para este trabajo de pintura los siguientes materiales
Espátula
Cepillo de alambre
Martillo
Cincel
Pintura amarillo caterpillar
Use the following materials for this paint job
Spatula
Wire brush
Hammer
Chisel
Caterpillar yellow paint
Procedimiento
Comence por retirarle todo el concreto que tenía pegado con el cincel y el martillo fue más fácil de lo que pense , luego le retire parte del óxido con el cepillo de alambre para luego proceder a lavarlo con detergente y bastante agua para retirar el polvo y parte de aceite o grasa que tuviera pegado y lo deje secar hasta el otro día .
Procedure.
I started by removing all the concrete that had stuck with the chisel and hammer was easier than I thought, then remove some of the rust with the wire brush and then proceed to wash it with detergent and plenty of water to remove dust and part of oil or grease that had stuck and let it dry until the next day.
Al día siguiente le pase un trapo seco para limpiar cualquier resto de grasa y polvo, procedí a pintarlo con pintura de esmalte amarillo caterpila.
Aunque no quedó 100% pintado porque la pintura no me alcanzó por lo menos estará protegido hasta que pueda comprar otro 1/4 de galón para darle otra mano de pintura.
The next day I wiped it with a dry rag to clean any grease and dust and proceeded to paint it with caterpillar yellow enamel paint.
Although it was not 100% painted because the paint was not enough, at least it will be protected until I can buy another 1/4 gallon to give it another coat of paint.
También debo reunir para comprar un Rin y un caucho para que quede en optimas condiciones de uso.El motor lo tengo guardado y de vez en cuando lo reviso para que funcione bien.
Todavía no se si me quede con el o lo venda ya que como dije anteriormente los trabajos de construcción tienen poca demanda.

I also have to get together to buy a rim and a rubber to keep it in optimal conditions of use, I have the engine in storage and from time to time I check it to make sure it is working well.
I still don't know if I will keep it or sell it because as I said before, construction jobs are in low demand.
