On this occasion, who chose the place was my son, he was running some errands in the city of Merida and we passed by a place, where we had two ice cream shops, one in front of the other, then, I gave him the opportunity to choose, and guess what, he chose the most expensive, but honestly it was worth it.
When we visit a restaurant, a cafe or even an ice cream parlor, we want not only to taste something delicious, but we also want to have a nice and different time. Therefore, the environment, the condition of the place, is just as important. I like to admire interior design, and I am attracted to places like "La cremeria".
Ir por un helado en esta época calurosa, siempre será un buen plan y más si es un lugar desconocido, porque la expectativa y el efecto sorpresa hacen que esta experiencia foodie sea mucho más agradable.
En esta ocasión, quien eligió el lugar fue mi hijo, estaba realizando unas diligencias en la ciudad de Mérida y pasamos por un lugar, donde teníamos dos heladerías, una al frente de la otra, entonces, le di la oportunidad a el de escoger, y adivinen que, eligió el más costoso, pero sinceramente valió la pena.
Cuando visitamos un restaurante, un café o incluso una heladería, queremos no solo degustar de algo delicioso, sino también queremos pasar un rato agradable y diferente. Por ende, el entorno, el estado del local, es igual de importante. A mí que me gusta mucho admirar el diseño de interiores, me atraen lugares como "La cremeria".
This ice cream parlor specializes in Gelato, being one of the reasons why the price of their portions are more expensive compared to traditional ice cream, but before talking about these Gelatos, I'll show you the place, isn't it beautiful?
It has a series of decorative elements and different types of furniture, which make it look very versatile, fresh and original, because everything together combines perfectly. The place is very spacious and has different environments to take pictures, plus I fell in love with the lamps. This type of lamps seem to be in fashion, because I have already seen several locations with this style.
Esta heladería es especialista en Gelato, siendo una de las razones, por las que el precio de sus porciones sean más costosas en comparación al helado tradicional, pero antes de hablar de estos Gelatos, les mostraré el local. ¿Verdad que está precioso?
Tiene una serie de elementos decorativos y distintos tipos de muebles, que la hacen ver muy versátil, fresca y original, porque todo en conjunto combina perfectamente. El local es muy amplio y tiene distintos ambientes para tomarse fotos, además me enamoré de las lámparas. Este tipo de lámparas, parecen estar de moda, porque ya he visto varias locaciones con este estilo.

Now let's move on to the best of the "Cremeria" the ice cream or well, in this case the Gelato. As its name suggests, its origin is Italian. It is a more artisanal dessert and, although it may look like a normal ice cream, it has a number of differences. The one I identify the most is that gelato has a stronger flavor. This time, my son opted for a blackberry-flavored one, and with this ice cream, I was able to verify that, indeed, the fruit flavor is more present. If it were a normal ice cream, the cream flavor would be more noticeable, it would be sweeter.
Ahora pasemos a lo mejor de la "Cremeria" los helados o bueno, en este caso el Gelato. Como su nombre lo indica, su origen es italiano. Es un postre más artesanal y, aunque puede parecer un helado normal, tiene una serie de diferencias. La que más identifico es que los gelato, tienen un sabor más fuerte. Esta vez, mi hijo optó por uno con sabor a mora, y con este helado, pude comprobar que, efectivamente, el sabor a la fruta está más presente. Si se tratara de un helado normal, se sentiría más el sabor a crema, estaría más dulce.
This blackberry gelato was tasty, its intense color was striking and appetizing, there was no doubt about its flavor, because the blackberry was present, you could feel the sweetness and flavor of the milk, but also the acidity of the fruit that balanced the flavors and created a refreshing experience.
My son enjoyed it and so did I. Each serving comes out at 87 Bs. which equals about 2.5 HBD approximately if it is a classic flavor like this one and at 103 Bs. ( 2.8 HBD approximately) if it is an uncommon flavor like pistachio, lemon pie or white chocolate with blueberries, these last two called my attention a lot, maybe, at some point I will have the opportunity to try them.
Este gelato de mora, estaba sabroso, su color intenso, era llamativo y apetecible, no existían dudas de su sabor, porque la mora, estaba presente, podías sentir el dulzor y el sabor de la leche, pero también la acidez de la fruta que equilibraba los sabores y creaban una experiencia refrescante.
Mi hijo lo disfrutó y yo también. Cada porción sale en 87 Bs. Lo que equivale a unos 2.5 HBD aproximadamente si es un sabor clásico como este y en 103 Bs. ( 2.8 HBD aproximadamente) si es un sabor poco común como el pistacho, pay de limón o de chocolate blanco con arándanos, estos dos últimos me llamaron mucho la atención, tal vez, en algún momento tenga la oportunidad de probarlos.
The cremeria has a wide range of options, where you will surely want to try more than one. My son was undecided between chocolate or blackberry, so they gave us a sample of chocolate, because the girl who served us told me that it was very likely that the child would not like it because it was 100% cocoa and had an intense flavor, so it was, it was too much for him, but for me, it was tasty, although I would combine it with another milder flavor. I had never tasted a 100% cocoa ice cream before and it was quite interesting.
La cremeria tiene un abanico de opciones, donde seguramente querrás probar más de uno. Mi hijo, estaba indeciso, entre uno de chocolate o el de mora, entonces, nos dieron una muestra de chocolate, porque la chica que nos atendió me dijo, que era muy probable que al niño no le gustara porque era 100% de cacao y tenía un sabor intenso, así fue, era demasiado para él, pero para mí, estaba sabroso, aunque sí lo combinaría con otro sabor más suave. Nunca había probado un helado 100% de cacao y fue bastante interesante.
