Hi dear community, have u ever got stuck with a specific genre or an specific kind of series? In this moment of my life, I'm exactly in that place. last time I was here, I share with you a series I had ended and it belongs to the k-drama world, after that moment I think my life couldn't come back to be the same. that's why, I'm here for sharing with you a new k-drama, that I just ended. Let's talk about:
Ready, set, love is a rom-com dystopian series, it was released in february 15 and it belongs to Netflix platform. It is a series native from Tailand and I'm not pretty sure it can be considered a K-drama but I think it is. This is a really short series that it is constituted by 6 episode, each one of 68 minutes. It shows a tragic reality where the world went through an epidemic, that ended up with the lives of men's majority. What triggered a cruel reality for society, where women had to go for really difficult times and now the humanity survival it is threatened, so as a consequence men are taking care by the goverment and to get married with a woman, these have to go into a contest (organized by goverment) to fight for love and to be part of a better life. But in this new season of the contest a peculiar contestant and her best friend trigger a series of events that could change everything.
What do I think about it? I liked it. It is a really interesting plot and the characters are lovely. And even the main issue is really heavy, the story has a freshness in its development that doesn't allow you to feel as a hard story. However, I was waiting for a more contundent last episode, but it is evident at the end of it that probably would be a next season, to connect the threads that were left a side in this season. The structure of the story as a whole would make you think it's a series of just one season, however at the very end of the last episode there is a plot twist that leave enough space to think there should be another part of this story.
Finally, Do I recommend this series? If you're into dystopian and korean series then I think you can enjoy this story. It is a really fresh way to spent a sunday afternoon. and If you enjoy short season series, then this is for you too. I hope you give it a chance and if you do I hope you let me know your feedback.

La última vez que estuve aquí les comparto una serie que terminé y pertenece al mundo de los k-dramas, después de ese momento creo que mi vida no podría volver a ser la misma. Es por eso que estoy aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo k-drama que acabo de terminar. Vamos a hablar acerca de:
Ready, set, love es una serie de comedia romántica distópica, se estrenó el 15 de febrero y pertenece a la plataforma Netflix. Es una serie nativa de Tailandia y no estoy muy seguro de que pueda considerarse un K-drama, pero creo que lo es. Se trata de una serie realmente corta que está constituida por 6 episodios, cada uno de 68 minutos. Muestra una trágica realidad donde el mundo atravesó una epidemia, que terminó con la vida de la mayoría de los hombres. Lo que desencadenó una realidad cruel para la sociedad, donde las mujeres tuvieron que pasar por tiempos realmente difíciles y ahora la supervivencia de la humanidad está amenazada, por lo que como consecuencia los hombres están al cuidado del gobierno y para casarse con una mujer, estas tienen que ir a un concurso (organizado por el gobierno) para luchar por el amor y ser parte de una vida mejor. Pero en esta nueva temporada del concurso una peculiar concursante y su mejor amiga desencadenan una serie de acontecimientos que podrían cambiarlo todo.
¿Qué pienso al respecto? Me gustó. Es una trama realmente interesante y los personajes son encantadores. Y aunque el tema principal es realmente pesado, la historia tiene una frescura en su desarrollo que no te permite sentirla como una historia dura. Sin embargo, estaba esperando un último episodio más contundente, pero al final es evidente que probablemente sería una próxima temporada, para conectar los hilos que quedaron a un lado en esta temporada. La estructura de la historia en su conjunto haría pensar que es una serie de una sola temporada, sin embargo al final del último episodio hay un giro argumental que deja suficiente espacio para pensar que debería haber otra parte de esta historia.
Finalmente, ¿Recomiendo esta serie? Si te gustan las series distópicas y coreanas, creo que puedes disfrutar esta historia. Es una forma realmente fresca de pasar una tarde de domingo. y si te gustan las series de temporada corta, esto también es para ti.
