2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV):
4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Spiritual blindness has different forms of manifestation.
These occurs when the word of God is concealed. There are some revelations God expects you to see when you study the scripture, but your spiritual blindness can prevent you from understanding the scripture clearly.
This types of blindness is clearly seen in people who are struggling to understand the Bible. Most belivers have complained that the Bible is too difficult to comprehend. Some even read, but they will dismiss and reject the truth because they refuse to understand the Bible.
What these kind belivers do not understand is that they are suffering from another form of spiritual blindness. Instead of rejecting the word of God, your sole aim is to pray for God to open your eyes.
David's prayer in Psalm 119:18, he said,
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Another type of spiritual blindness is the inability to know the particular message for your life that is in the scripture. This Bible is not an ordinary book, it is the pathway to discovering your God given purpose in life.
You don't need a seer or prophet to reveal certain things about your life to you.
Hebrews 1:1-2 tells us in the past,
It takes spiritual clarity to decipher the unique word of God that is meant for you. What others only see as a general a scripture, but through the divine intervention of God and his revelation, He can reveal personal insights about your destiny, purpose and how you spiritual journey would look like. You have to pray that God opens your eyes to see the truth that has been revealed to you.
NUGGET:
The Word of God can be difficult to understand because of you don't have a clear spiritual vision. Your prayer is for God to open your spiritual eyes so that you can see the things He has written specially for you.
