In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Also, I will include the statistics I collect daily from Rising Star to keep you informed.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: A donde va el viento of Julieta Venegas
Los viejos vinagres: Sumo
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Los Viejos Vinagres of the argentine rock group "Sumo". Sumo is an emblematic group of Argentine music, known not only for its contribution to national rock, but also for the controversies that surrounded its leader, Luca Prodan. One of the most remembered episodes was his confrontation with Charly García, one of the greatest figures of Argentine rock. Prodan expressed his criticism towards Charly in Sumo's most famous song, “La rubia tarada”, where he accused him of “selling out” to the jeans brand Fiorucci. In my case, I have known the band thanks to their most emblematic song, “La rubia tarada”.
Luca Prodan was born in Rome, Italy, on May 17, 1953, into an upper-class family. His childhood was marked by discipline and study in prestigious British schools. However, his rebellious spirit led him to abandon that lifestyle. Luca faced personal problems, including a strong heroin addiction. In search of a radical change, Prodan moved to Argentina in 1981, invited by a childhood friend, Timmy McKern. That's where he started his band called Sumo, which was quite successful in Argentina.
Before giving the winner of this night's drawing. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
