Shadow Hunters Community Contest SMASh - Round 316
In the last couple of months, temperatures in the city, and the country in general, have been sweltering, particularly since the arrival of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and according to meteorologists they will remain so until early May when the rains are expected to begin.
As I have been accustomed to for some time now, this morning I went to a park within walking distance of my home. While much of the grass is yellow from the high temperatures and prolonged drought, at least touring the park and mingling among the visitors allows me to relax and distract myself a bit, diverting my attention, albeit temporarily, from other matters over which I have no power or control at the moment.
On the other hand, this visit allows me to renew and keep my photographic archive up to date, which is quite useful to share in the various challenges that take place weekly in this ecosystem.
As I have described in previous posts, I usually make use of the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed, with the aim of improving or highlighting some element of my images.
En el último par de meses, las temperaturas en la ciudad, y el país en general, han sido sofocantes, particularmente desde la llegada de la Primavera en el Hemisferio Norte, y de acuerdo a los meteorólogos se mantendrán así hasta principios de Mayo cuando se espera el inicio de las lluvias.
Como he acostumbrado desde hace algún tiempo, esta mañana acudí a un parque a corta distancia de mi hogar. Si bien gran parte de la grama se encuentra amarilla por las altas temperaturas y la prolongada sequía, al menos recorrer el parque y confundirme entre los visitantes, me permite relajarme y distraerme un poco, desviando mi atención, aunque sea de forma temporal, de otros asuntos sobre los cuales no tengo en este momento poder o control.
Por otra parte, esta visita me permite renovar y mantener al día mi archivo fotográfico, lo cual me es bastante útil para compartir en los diversos desafíos que semanalmente tienen lugar en este ecosistema.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, usualmente hago uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed, con el objetivo de mejorar o destacar algún elemento de mis imágenes.
