Eurasian blue tit

Now in winter there are not so many different birds here in Austria like in Spring but some birds you can find the whole year round like this eurasian blue tit. I had the luck that it was sitting on a branch very close to me and I could take several pictures of this birds very easily.

The pictures with the blue sky in the background were made during summer last year and since the bird sat there and flew away i got a really nice picture of the bird in flight with spread feathres. Eventhough this bird is one of the more common birds here in austria it is really nice an beautiful with it's blue cap and the yellow front feathers. It is a rather small bird and you really need to get close enough to get some nice pictures like these. But fortunately it is not that shy.
