There are these kind of series that are created for making people happy but not only that but to reflect about certain stages of live. This is the case of Sex education. It is time to present to you a really disruptive serie of this decade.
Sex education is an original Netflix series that was first release in June 11th, 2019. This series was starred by Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells y Kedar Williams-Stirling. And it is considered one of the most popular series of the platform, it belongs to comedy and drama genre. It has 4 seasons and the last one was released in september 21st, 2023.
What about the plot? Sex education follows the life of Otis and his group of friends. He grew up with a sexologist mother, who without knowing instilled to her son the love for this carrer. So along the story he (otis) becomes the counselor of those teenager and young adults from his highschool, who needs someone to hear then with any judging.
The point here with this series is that along the story, we have the opportunity to see in the lives of this teenagers, the same adverse situations most of young adults have to face in their youth and I'm not talking just about sex topic. Sex Education is a constant reflection wrapped in a happy package. What does this mean? it has a perfect balance between comedy and drama, the first season it is a fresh breeze that catch your atenttion from the very first episode and keep it until the very last episode to the last season.
What do I think about Sex Education? When I first watched it, I got in love of every character and definitely I got fascinated by how disruptive it is. It rawly shows how the hormones can make teenagers do crazy things and not only that, but all the difficult cirscuntances that come with adolescense (the confusion, the self-discovery, the first broken heart, the family issues and society expectation). Recently, I finished the series and let me tell you every character had their perfect end of their plots in the story. It was a poem how wonderful every character closed their stories and even when the 3rd season end got me a little confused about how could the last one take all the threads to work out without controverting what it has raised from the previous seasons, however all the threads were perfectly conected at the end, with no doubt what happened to every character was exactly that should occured to them.
Do I recommend this story? OF COURSE I DO! With no doubt it is one of the best netflix series I have watched. In fact, I'm really sad about it had ended. But please don't worry about me, I'll be rewatching it soon. I hope you give it a try to this series and if you do please let me know about it. Existen este tipo de series que se crean para hacer feliz a la gente pero no solo eso sino para reflexionar sobre ciertas etapas de la vida. Este es el caso de la Educación Sexual. Es hora de presentarles una serie realmente disruptiva de esta década.
Educación sexual es una serie original de Netflix que se estrenó por primera vez el 11 de junio de 2019. Esta serie fue protagonizada por Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells y Kedar Williams-Stirling. Y es considerada una de las series más populares de la plataforma, pertenece al género de comedia y drama. Tiene 4 temporadas y la última se estrenó el 21 de septiembre de 2023.
¿Qué pasa con la trama? Educación sexual sigue la vida de Otis y su grupo de amigos. Creció con una madre sexóloga, quien sin saberlo inculcó a su hijo el amor por esta carrera. Así, a lo largo de la historia, él (otis) se convierte en el consejero de aquellos adolescentes y jóvenes de su escuela secundaria, que necesitan a alguien que los escuche y los juzgue.
El punto aquí con esta serie es que a lo largo de la historia, tenemos la oportunidad de ver en la vida de estos adolescentes, las mismas situaciones adversas que la mayoría de los adultos jóvenes tienen que enfrentar en su juventud y no me refiero solo al tema sexual. Sex Education es una reflexión constante envuelta en un paquete feliz. ¿Qué quiere decir esto? Tiene un equilibrio perfecto entre comedia y drama, la primera temporada es una brisa fresca que capta tu atención desde el primer episodio y la mantiene hasta el último episodio de la última temporada.
¿Qué pienso sobre la Educación Sexual? Cuando lo vi por primera vez, me enamoré de cada personaje y definitivamente me fascinó lo disruptivo que es. Muestra crudamente cómo las hormonas pueden hacer que los adolescentes cometan locuras y no sólo eso, sino todas las difíciles circunstancias que acompañan a la adolescencia (la confusión, el autodescubrimiento, el primer corazón roto, los problemas familiares y las expectativas de la sociedad). Recientemente, terminé la serie y déjame decirte que cada personaje tuvo su final perfecto en la trama de la historia. Fue un poema lo maravilloso que cada personaje cerraba sus historias e incluso cuando el final de la 3ra temporada me confundió un poco acerca de cómo la última pudo tomar todos los hilos para funcionar sin contradecir lo que había planteado de las temporadas anteriores, sin embargo, todos los Los hilos quedaron perfectamente conectados al final, sin duda lo que pasó con cada personaje fue exactamente lo que les debería pasar.
¿Recomiendo esta historia? ¡POR SUPUESTO QUE SÍ! Sin duda es una de las mejores series de Netflix que he visto. De hecho, estoy muy triste porque todo terminó. Pero no te preocupes por mí, lo volveré a ver pronto. Espero que pruebes esta serie y, si lo haces, házmelo saber. Pero si ya lo viste, me encantaría saber si te gustó tanto como a mí.
