Hello friends of Hive Pets I hope you are very well; this time my publication is about an event held in my city "6th International Sheep and Goat Fair Barquisimeto 2024"; I have previously attended livestock fairs but for work reasons, however this time it was for enjoyment and I was delighted, well these fairs were for 5 days from its inauguration on May 29 to June 2 and I had the opportunity to attend on Saturday here will participate herds, producers, farms, farms, farms of my municipality, my state and other states of the country.
Así que a las 3 de la tarde ya estaba en el área de stands de la exposicion de los ejemplares ovinos y caprinos en donde pude observar la exhibición de diferentes razas ovinas como Pelibuey, Suffolk, Santa Inés, Kathadin, Dorper, White Dorper, Hampshire, Texel así como también razas caprinas como Saanen, Alpina, Nubian y Boer me intereso muchísimo conocer nuevas razas introducidas en el país e incluso aca mismo en mi estado y darme cuenta que han tenido buena adaptación.
So at 3 o'clock in the afternoon I was already in the stand area of the sheep and goat exhibition where I could observe the exhibition of different sheep breeds such as Pelibuey, Suffolk, Santa Inés, Kathadin, Dorper, White Dorper, Hampshire, Texel as well as goat breeds such as Saanen, Alpina, Nubian and Boer. I was very interested in learning about new breeds introduced in the country and even here in my state and realized that they have adapted well.

Por otro lado es primera vez que veo cabras lactantes con tan alto potencial de fenotipo en este caso hago énfasis en la ubre ( casi que igual a la de las vacas) estás hermosas cabras producen 8 litros de leche diario.
On the other hand, it is the first time I have seen lactating goats with such a high phenotype potential, in this case I emphasize the udder (almost the same as that of the cows), these beautiful goats produce 8 liters of milk daily.

Estos ejemplares sin duda están muy bien entrenados para su participación en las ferias y así mismo dóciles para entrar en contacto con las personas e incluso niños siendo un evento para todo tipo de publico por otro lado me encontré con un par de ejemplares muy juguetones, les encanta el contacto con las personas y las fotos jeje, muy bellos me encantaron.
These specimens are certainly very well trained for their participation in the fairs and also docile to come into contact with people and even children being an event for all types of public on the other hand I found a couple of very playful specimens, they love the contact with people and the photos hehe, very beautiful I loved them.

Y también me encontré una oveja y una cabra que hacía dos días había tenido parto justamente en la feria.
And I also found a sheep and a goat that had given birth two days ago at the fair.
Esa tarde tuve la oportunidad de presenciar el juzgamiento de fenotipo caprino con jueces internacionales provenientes de México, Usa y Colombia ver el desfile de los ejemplares es una belleza y el dato curioso es que cada premio o reconocimiento que recibe cada ejemplar le aumenta su valor económico. Para complementar días anteriores también se realizó juzgamiento de fenotipo ovino, concurso de producción de leche y concurso de derivados lácteos de cabra y ovinos así como también exposición caninas.
That afternoon I had the opportunity to witness the goat phenotype judging with international judges from Mexico, USA and Colombia to see the parade of the specimens is a beauty and the curious fact is that each prize or recognition that each specimen receives increases its economic value. To complement previous days there was also sheep phenotype judging, milk production contest and goat and sheep dairy products contest as well as dog show.

Mis manos tenían al olor característico de caprinos jeje para mí este mundo de la ganadería es muy lindo pero en lo personal me gusta que su la finalidad sea de reproducción y leche.
My hands had the characteristic smell of goats hehe for me this world of livestock is very nice but personally I like that its purpose is for reproduction and milk.
Otro de los atractivos de está feria fue la exposición de animales ornamentales en un principio me pareció extraño el termino ornamental para animales jeje pero creo que sí es así. Bueno diferentes tipos de aves como gallinas, gallos, patos, gansos y algúnas que vi por primera vez entré ellos faisán, patos de moño entre otros así como también el erizo domestico.
Another attraction of this fair was the exhibition of ornamental animals, at first it seemed strange to me the term ornamental for animals hehe but I think it is so. Well different types of birds such as chickens, roosters, ducks, geese and some that I saw for the first time among them pheasant, ducks among others as well as the domestic hedgehog.

Por otro lado aparté del área de exposición de ejemplares caprinos y ovinos en la feria se contó con exposición agroindustrial, área industrial, área recreacional infantil, área gastronómica, área expo comercial el cuál estimo profundizar en otra publicación.
In addition to the goat and sheep exhibition area, the fair included an agro-industrial exhibition, an industrial area, a children's recreational area, a gastronomic area, and a commercial exhibition area, which I expect to discuss in more detail in another publication.
