So, guys, I just saw the latest episode of SmackDown, and Jesus Christ did it have a shocker! Now let me get to the point.
The starting point was Cody Rhodes confronting Roman Reigns. Well, to be clear with you all; I felt that their conversation could have been better developed. Roman went on to say that Cody was the best number two of all times and well as being an “idiot.” It hurts.
On Monday Night Raw Paul Heyman shadowed Cody then walked behind him to see if he was alone. Oh man! What an intense level of scrutiny!
As Roman left the ring, Solo Sikoa came through one end of the audience while Jimmy Uso arrived through another side. They were just about ready to attack Cody like in those action-packed movies involving espionage.
Wait though, Seth Rollins, no shocker there. But man! Jey Uso too? How about that for a switch? I didn’t see this coming at all; Jey has been relatively low key since the Summer Slam 2023 betrayal.
Moreover, get this: Jey is now preparing for his greatest solo match with his brother Jimmy Uso headlining WrestleMania 40! Just imagine taking sibling rivalry to another level. In fact, I can already sense the anticipation building up towards this event.
The way the music suddenly changed to Cody's theme at the tail end added more excitement into it. It’s almost like the perfect setup for what’s coming next.
I have to admit, I am hooked by this plot’s twist.
There is a whole new level of interest that comes when Jey Uso crosses over to the other side and allies with Cody and Seth against The Bloodline. And what about Jey’s huge match against his own brother at WrestleMania? It is the kind of stuff dreams are made of in wrestling.
I can’t wait to find out how this ends. Will he remain loyal or will there be more surprises along the way? One thing is certain; SmackDown has become infinitely more fascinating and I’ll definitely watch it till the end.
