| Крупные, элегантные птицы необычайного розового цвета всегда привлекают внимание. На воле я их видела только в детстве на Черном море. Стая летела в небе и, конечно, невозможно было рассмотреть подробности. В зоопарке птицы довольно близко и можно их спокойно рассматривать. | Large, elegant birds with an unusual pink color always attract attention. In the wild, I only saw them when I was a child on the Black Sea. The flock was flying in the sky and, of course, it was impossible to see the details. In the zoo, the birds are quite close and you can calmly look at them. |

| 7 лет назад здесь случилась трагедия. В 2017 году на Берлин обрушился ураган Ксавье. Всех фламинго не успели перевести в крытый вольер. 80 птиц оставались на улице и в результате падения деревьев во время стихии погибли 18 фламинго. | 7 years ago a tragedy happened here. In 2017, Hurricane Xavier hit Berlin. They did not have time to transfer all the flamingos to an indoor enclosure. 80 birds remained on the street and 18 flamingos died as a result of falling trees during the disaster. |

| Об этом я прочла на сайте зоопарка и не знала в момент посещения. Не знаю, есть ли этот старец на фотографии. Но ураган, унёсший жизни его собратьев, Инго пережил. | I read about this on the zoo’s website and didn’t know it at the time of my visit. I don’t know if this old man is in the photo. But Ingo survived the hurricane that claimed the lives of his brothers. |
