Quiero presentarles en esta ocasión a un artista que considero que desde su punto de partida a la actualidad, su evolución musical ha incrementado diferentes factores que lo han posicionado hasta hoy, como uno de los artistas más importantes del mundo, El gran Residente ( René Pérez ) uno de los artistas más galardonado de los Latin Grammy. Fue interesante su cambio de lo que fue Calle 13 a lo que ahora representa Residente para el mundo. Es increíble e inevitable hablar de Calle 13 y no recordar Atrévete te te. Acá un punto de partida que fue considerado por algunos un Single fuera de lugar y de hecho, les aseguro que esas personas que decían eso, hoy estarán tarareando Atrévete te te mientras posiblemente caminen por las aceras de su ciudad.

Su música sin duda ha tenido una evolución musical muy interesante. Salir de hiphop o del tan odiado reguetón a llegar a un punto de hacer música del mundo. Sí, es curioso que todo haya empezado con un proyecto personal donde el artista consideraba hacerse una prueba de ADN para descubrir su huella genética lo cual lo llevo a recorrer países de sus antepasados y llegó a recorrer 10 culturas musicales de países que incluía Rusia, Ghana, china y su país natal Puerto Rico. Aquí para encontrar su propia historia y usar la cultura musical y sonido que había estudiado en los países visitados para crear una nueva fusión musical.

Una canción de hace aproximadamente unos 5 o 6 años que habla de esa gente que resiste luchando, de aquellos que viven en carne propia los ataques que llevaban a muertes de niños e inocentes. Con fé de que la música puede ser una herramienta para la paz. Esta última es sin duda una evolución musical increíble pero en todos los sentidos. Disfrutemos y lloremos por los caídos.
