Two matches are currently going on in the UEFA champions league tonight. Arsenal is hosting FC Porto while Barcelona play host to Napoli. Arsenal is currently leading Porto (1-0) but (1-1) on agregate. The game may be decided in the extra time while Barcelona is leading Napoli (2-1) and (3-2) on agregate. Will Napoli turn the game in their favour? Well, we shall see at the end.of the day.

Larry begins his look at today in history from the world of international organizations. He finds out that on this day in 1999, Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) just before the organization's 50th anniversary.
From the world of international organizations, Larry goes to India. He finds out that on this day in 1930, Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the Indian independence movement, launched the Salt March, a nonviolent demonstration against British rule that brought him international attention.
From India, Larry goes to the world of innovations. He finds out that on this day in 1831, Clement Studebaker, the American manufacturer and creator of the Studebaker automotive company, was born in Pinetown, Pennsylvania.
From the world of innovations, Larry goes to the USA. He finds out that on this day in 1804, Samuel Chase became the first (and so far only) US Supreme Court justice to be impeached.
From the USA, Larry goes to France. He finds out that on this day in 1613, André Le Nôtre, one of France's greatest landscape architects, was born in Paris. His masterwork is the gardens of Versailles.
Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from the USA. He finds out that on this day in 2009, Bernie Madoff, an American hedge-fund investment manager, pleaded guilty to a variety of charges related to the running of one of the world's greatest Ponzi schemes and was sentenced to 150 years in prison.
Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
