The story has ups and downs, but in my opinion it ends up being balanced, giving us a drama that keeps us entertained, without demanding too much or holding us back at the end.

It helps that its director knows how to keep the pace and capture the world in which a writer seeks inspiration or finds himself.

As is often the case, it relies on certain simplistic clichés, but they end up being more of a contribution than a disaster, which ultimately benefits the overall outcome of the film.

The protagonist of the film, Laura Dern, gives us a charming character that makes us realize the talent of an actress who, at this stage of her career, can even afford to give us these romantic dramas.

As a celebrated author who falls in love with the ever-attractive Liam Hemsworth, she provides the right kind of character with whom we can sympathize and, at times, even identify.

The couple doesn't overwhelm us with their absolute chemistry, but they allow us to validate their romantic moments and funny dialogue, which is a great strength of this film.

This is a romantic drama that is great weekend viewing for couples or just people who like the genre, it delivers great moments and gives us a believable story.

It's still a movie we've seen before, with the right performances, nothing too risqué, effective dialogue and a romance that makes everyone happy.

Netflix's Morocco will please fans of the genre, it will please those looking for something more innovative and those who hate simplicity, pristine and beautifully painted, devoid of the usual beggars and poverty.

I imagine that the Ministry of Tourism of this country will have paid for part of the filming.

The story itself is fine, and tackles an old topic: love despite the age difference. Even the romance takes its time and follows a generally believable process, albeit with some exaggerations.

A movie, all in all, sweet as one of those tasty dates and typical Moroccan sweets, to watch on a gray and rainy autumn afternoon. With a denouement as expected as predictable, and, of course, sweet. To detoxify a little of all those abundant bad news that overwhelm us daily.
