Greetings to all friends of Hive, Liketu and especially to the members of the Black & White community, I hope you all had a good morning and your day is going in the best way. I had several weeks without capturing black & white photographs and wanted to get back into the habit. 🙌🏻✨

Black and white photos for me are a combination of elegant and mysterious. When I take pictures this way I feel that the photos start to have a different perspective, a different story because of "what they look like". I don't know if I'm making myself clear. 😅 I hope so.

A long time ago I saw some pictures taken by a professional photographer, he had captured part of the city where he lived and some very luxurious cars. When I saw them, I thought they were old photos, but not 5 years old, they looked like they were taken decades ago. That's what I mean when I say that when I take black and white photos, I feel they have a different history. His photos were lovely and like any professional photographer, he knew how to play with lighting, contrasts and shadows.

I tried to do the same with my photos. As you can see, most of them are trees. That day was very sunny but I realized that because of the trees there would be a lot of shade, which I thought was perfect for the black and white photos, since the shadows are always those "black" parts and the lighter areas are usually the opposite, so they become the "white" part of the photos.

There is still much room for improvement, however, every time I see the opportunity to take photos that are in black and white I like to take the opportunity to share them here and receive an opinion or constructive criticism from you. ☺️ Without further ado, I hope you like my post and the pictures I managed to capture. Saludos a todos amigos de Hive, Liketu y en especial a los miembros de la comunidad Black & White, espero que todos hayan amanecido muy bien y su día esté transcurriendo de la mejor manera. Tenía varias semanas sin capturar fotografías en blanco y negro y quise volver a retomar el hábito. 🙌🏻✨

Las fotos en blanco y negro para mi son una combinación entre elegantes y misteriosas. Al tomar fotografías de esta manera siento que las fotos empiezan a tener otra perspectiva diferente, una historia diferente por “lo que aparentan”. No sé si me estoy dando a entender. 😅 Espero que si.

Hace mucho vi unas fotos tomadas por un fotógrafo profesional, había capturado parte de la ciudad en donde vivía y aparte algunos carros muy lujosos. Cuando las vi, creí que eran fotos antiguas, pero no antiguas de hace 5 años sino que aparentaban ser tomadas hace décadas. A eso me refiero cuando digo que al tomar fotos en blanco y negro, siento que tienen una historia diferente. Sus fotos eran encantadoras y como todo fotógrafo profesional, supo jugar con la iluminación, contrastes y sombras.

Traté de hacer lo mismo con mis fotos. Cómo pueden apreciar, la mayoría son árboles. Ese día estaba muy soleado pero me di cuenta que por los árboles habría gran cantidad de sombra, lo que creí que era perfecto para las fotos en blanco y negro, ya que las sombras siempre suelen ser esas partes en “negro” y mientras que las zonas más claras suelen ser lo contrario, así que pasan a ser la parte en “blanco” de las fotografías.

Aún hay mucho por mejorar, sin embargo, cada vez que veo la oportunidad de tomar fotos que sean en blanco y negro me gusta aprovechar de compartirlas por acá y recibir una opinión o crítica constructiva por parte de ustedes. ☺️ Sin más que decir, espero que sea de su agrado mi post y las fotografías que logré capturar.
