In 2020, during the pandemic, I desperately sought new sources of income. I had lost my job due to the closure of the company where I worked, and global circumstances left little choice. In my search, I explored countless websites and platforms that promised financial freedom, but none delivered what they offered.
When surfing Twitter (now X), I saw a post that caught my attention. It said, “There's a platform where you can create content and earn income from it.” Although it sounded promising, I must admit I didn't believe it. My experience publishing content on Facebook, Twitter, and my personal Blogger blog had never resulted in income, so I opened my HIVE account without much expectation. I was lost and didn't know where to start, so I quit.
A month later, I saw a post on Twitter about HIVE again, this time from a user explaining how to create content there. I decided to contact him and, to my surprise, he invited me to his WhatsApp group, where they were teaching how to create content on HIVE. That user was @danielvehe, from @rutablockchain. Thanks to his help and that of other members of the group, I acquired the necessary knowledge to create my first publications in HIVE.
The community
What impressed me most about HIVE was the community. People like @ambarvegas and @fermionico pushed me into this magnificent universe by delegating HP to me. I also met other creators, like @nahupuku, @yenmendt, @soychalbed, @tarot911, @alberto0607, @damarysvibra, @irvinc, @emiliorios, who are to be admired. Over time, I started helping new members, sharing tips for them to create their first publications without falling into common mistakes. Today, I continue to do so with pleasure.
HIVE brings out gifts or talents.
In addition, HIVE allowed me to discover talents I had forgotten or didn't know I had. Writing short stories, creating suspenseful stories with touches of humor, reflecting, doing catharsis..., I found all of that here. Later, I started generating audiovisual content in 3Speak, a decentralized video platform based on HIVE, where, together with the incredible @aguamiel, we created the podcast “La Arepa Morada”. What a great thing to do!
Rewards and more
Another unique feature of HIVE is its rewards system. Earnings are obtained in HBD (Hive Backed Dollar), a stable currency within the ecosystem, and at the same time you strengthen your account with HP, which represents your power within the platform. This not only allows for steady income but also builds an exceptional type of savings, which for me was vital. In August 2024 I suffered a mild cerebrovascular event, and thanks to my HIVE savings I was able to cover my medical expenses.
Today I use my HIVE blog as a showcase to promote my work as a designer and ghostwriter. In addition, thanks to what I have learned, I have created templates and designs that I sell on Web 2 social networks and through my online store.
HIVE is a place for everyone: writers, photographers, musicians, chefs, gamers... Any talent finds a space here, and the best thing is that you don't need thousands of followers to receive rewards; you just need to create quality content.
On January 7, 2025, I celebrated four years in HIVE, and I can say that it is the best decision I have ever made in my life. Therefore, I invite you to get to know this wonderful universe, which I am sure you will fall in love with.

En 2020, durante la pandemia, me encontré buscando desesperadamente nuevas fuentes de ingresos. Había perdido mi empleo debido al cierre de la empresa donde trabajaba, y las circunstancias a nivel mundial no dejaban muchas opciones. En mi búsqueda, exploré infinidad de páginas y plataformas que prometían libertad financiera, pero ninguna cumplió lo que ofrecía.
Fue entonces cuando, navegando por Twitter (ahora X), vi una publicación que llamó mi atención. Decía algo así como: "Hay una plataforma donde puedes crear contenido y obtener ingresos por ello". Aunque sonaba prometedor, debo admitir que no lo creí. Mi experiencia publicando contenido en Facebook, Twitter y en mi blog personal de Blogger nunca había resultado en ingresos, así que abrí mi cuenta en HIVE sin muchas expectativas. Estaba perdido y sin saber por dónde empezar, así que lo dejé.
Un mes después, volví a ver una publicación en Twitter sobre HIVE, esta vez de un usuario que explicaba cómo crear contenido allí. Decidí contactarlo y, para mi sorpresa, me invitó a su grupo de WhatsApp, donde enseñaban a crear contenido en HIVE. Ese usuario era @danielvehe, de @rutablockchain. Gracias a su ayuda y la de otros miembros del grupo, adquirí los conocimientos necesarios para crear mis primeras publicaciones en HIVE.
La comunidad
Lo que más me impresionó de HIVE fue su comunidad. Gente como @ambarvegas y @fermionico me impulsaron en este universo magnífico al delegarme HP. También me encontré con otros creadores, como @nahupuku, @yenmendt, @soychalbed, @tarot911, @alberto0607, @damarysvibra, @irvinc, @emiliorios, quienes son de admirar. Con el tiempo, comencé a ayudar a nuevos miembros, compartiendo consejos para que crearan sus primeras publicaciones sin caer en errores comunes. Hoy en día, sigo haciéndolo con gusto.
HIVE hace emerger dones o talentos.
Además, HIVE me permitió descubrir talentos que había olvidado o que desconocía que tenía. Escribir cuentos, crear historias de suspenso con toques de humor, reflexionar, hacer catarsis…, todo eso lo encontré aquí. Más tarde, empecé a generar contenido audiovisual en 3Speak, una plataforma de videos descentralizada basada en HIVE, donde, junto a la increíble @aguamiel, creamos el pódcast “La Arepa Morada”. ¡Qué vaina más buena!
Recompensas y mas
Otra característica única de HIVE es su sistema de recompensas. Las ganancias se obtienen en HBD (Hive Backed Dollar), una moneda estable dentro del ecosistema, y al mismo tiempo fortaleces tu cuenta con HP, que representa tu poder dentro de la plataforma. Esto no solo permite ingresos constantes, sino también construir un tipo de ahorro excepcional, que para mí fue vital. En agosto de 2024 sufrí un evento cerebrovascular leve, y gracias a mis ahorros en HIVE pude cubrir mis gastos médicos.
Hoy en día uso mi blog en HIVE como una vitrina para promocionar mi trabajo como diseñador y ghostwriter. Además, gracias a lo aprendido, he creado plantillas y diseños que vendo en redes sociales de la web 2 y a través de mi tienda virtual.
HIVE es un lugar para todos: escritores, fotógrafos, músicos, chefs, gamers… Cualquier talento encuentra un espacio aquí, y lo mejor es que no necesitas miles de seguidores para recibir recompensas; basta con crear contenido de calidad.
El pasado 7 de enero de 2025 cumplí cuatro años en HIVE, y puedo decir que es la mejor decisión que he tomado en mi vida. Por eso, te invito a conocer este maravilloso universo, del que estoy seguro de que te enamorarás.
