Hi everyone...
Today, I want to share my version of Chop Suey. There are many ways to cook this dish, and there are quite a variety of ingredients to use. I really like chop suey, especially when there are some seafood in it, like shrimp and squid balls. However, I did not include seafood in this chop suey dish, so that my daughter can also eat it. She's allergic to seafood, so I decided not to. Here's how I cooked it.
Chop Suey Dish for my Family
INGREDIENTS:
-Chicken breast
-Sausage
-Potato
-Carrot
-Cauliflower
-Broccoli
-Chayote
-Cabbage
-Onion
-Bell Pepper
-Garlic
-Ground Black Pepper
-Knorr Chicken Cube
-Magic Sarap Seasoning
-Cream of Mushroom Powder
-Soy Sauce
-Salt
-Canola Oil
-Water
-Tabasco Sauce
PREPARATION:
Wash and clean the chicken well. Then slice the chicken.
Wash and slice the sausage thinly.
Wash and clean all the vegetables and slice them into the shapes and sizes you like.
Wash and clean all the spices too and then cut or slice them.
After cleaning and slicing all the ingredients set them all aside and get ready to cook.
COOKING TIME:
Heat a small amount of canola oil in a pan.
Sautee onions and garlic. Then add the sausage and in a little while add the chicken.
Sautee them together until the chicken becomes golden brown.
Then add the chayote, then the carrot and the potato. Continue sautéing all the ingredients in the pan. Then add a Knorr chicken cube and just a little soy sauce. Stir to mix and combine.
Then add water. Cover and let it simmer for a few minutes or until all veggies inside the pan are almost cooked. Add the cauliflower and broccoli.
And then the slurry which is made of cream of mushroom.
Then season with 1 tbsp of ground black pepper, 1 tsp of garlic powder just a pinch of Magic Sarap seasoning. Just to make sure the taste is not salty and not bland either. Then add the bell pepper.
Carefully mix all the ingredients together. Then cover the pan and continue to cook. Then finally add the cabbage. Cover again and continue cooking for only just 2 minutes this time. It's good to have the cabbage still crispy to eat.
And... all done!
I'm happy to serve this to my family for our dinner. This is all for today and I hope you like it... See you in my next post. Thank you all and God bless.
