Look no further and allow me to help you. Let me introduce you The Kraken, my, and soon to be, your secret weapon to turning the tides of battle. Armed with Taunt and Retaliate among other good abilities, The Kraken can not only deflect melee attacks but also absorb those sneaky melee units that often are hindrances to your strategy.
With the removal of magic attacks, your chance of activating The Kraken's Retaliate has increased by 50% making it easier for you to dish out those huge damage on your enemy's back row.

STRATEGY
With the removal of magic attacks, it is now a 50-50 chance for your enemies to use melee attacks. This is where Retaliate comes through. With Retaliate, you have another 50-50 chance for The Kraken to return an attack to any melee attacker that attacks him. With his Taunt, he can also absorb those Sneak units, which are also normally melee increasing your chance to have the Retaliate to activate.
Now, you just need to make sure to make him survive no matter what your enemies throw at you using Heal, Tank Heal, Repair and Protect.

In this battle, I used the summoner, Camila Sungazer and units, The Kraken, Furious Chicken, Creeping Ooze, Merdaali Guardian, Crustacean King and Albatross .

| 1. Level 4: Splinterlands' ultimate tank. He has all the stats needed to be both a defender and attacker making him technically all you need to win a game. | 2. Level 3: Using a Gold foil Furious Chicken, this 0 mana unit is equivalent to a walking free extra rewards for your games. | 3. Level 4: Another extra rewards for being a gold foil for when you win. In addition to this, he also has Slow that can increase the chance of your enemy melee and range units to miss. |

| 4. Level 8: With the ultimate tank comes with the ultimate support. Not only she has Tank Heal but also has Repair to heal both health and armor of The Kraken. Her Strengthen completes the trifecta by increasing The Kraken's health putting it to 15. At 14 health, the Kraken only heals 4 from any sources but at 15 health, he gets to heal by 5 instead for every round from Heals and Tank Heals. | 5. Level 5: With the assistance of Tank Heal, he also has Protect to increase your team's armor. There is also an extra range attack starting level 3, which is perfect for removing Kelya Frendul's increased armor ability. | 6. Level 5: I discovered this somewhere along the line when perfecting this build. Albatross is a 1 mana card with Tank Heal. He's basically a free healer to any water builds that you make. |
