Parece que nuestro siglo romperá todo récord posible en cuanto a la identificación de enfermedades mentales. En los últimos meses, se está hablado mucho de un síndrome que se ha denominado SIMON
El Síndrome de Simón define un perfil de hombres que ensalzan solo su propia persona, que no se comprometen afectivamente y que solo buscan el éxito social.
El cual es identificado por sus siglas: Solteros, Inmaduros, Materialistas, Obsesionados y Narcisistas.
Es decir, el hombre light de nuestro milenio. Un eterno soltero que sale con mujeres, pero no establece relaciones serias, de allí que no hay ningún tipo de compromiso hacia las relaciones afectivas, ya sea por miedo al compromiso, por alguna experiencia negativa en relaciones anteriores, o simplemente porque su educación afectiva y socioemocional fue muy deficiente, preocupándose exclusivamente por ensalzar su propia persona.
De allí que debemos preguntarnos:
- No te interesa tener una relación seria y prefieres disfrutar de tu libertad.
- Te cuesta asumir responsabilidades y prefieres vivir como si fueras un adolescente.
- Te importa mucho tu imagen y tu éxito profesional, y mides el valor de las personas por sus posesiones.
- Pasas la mayor parte del tiempo en la oficina y no tienes tiempo para tu vida personal.
- Te crees el centro del universo y necesitas la admiración constante de los demás.
¿Te identificas con algunos de estos rasgos?, porque de responder sí, a algunas de estas preguntas, es posible que tengas algunos rasgos de este síndrome. Porque el primer paso para superarlo es reconocerlo y así accionar.
Somos muchos lo que vivimos, la presión social para ser exitosos y tener una imagen impecable, además de una educación permisiva en la que de niños no aprendimos a asumir responsabilidades. Factores que han podido influir de una u otra manera en el desarrollo de este síndrome.
Hoy es momento de accionar, porque nunca es tarde para cambiar.

- You care a lot about your image and your professional success, and you measure the value of people by their possessions.
- You spend most of your time at the office and have no time for your personal life.
- You think you are the center of the universe and need constant admiration from others.
