Initially, I intended to just take a leisurely stroll around the Situ Gintung lake, which has a distance of 4.5 kilometres. I often use this route for running training, so I knew the route by heart. However, after just one lap around the Gintung route, it started to drizzle. I thought it was just a light drizzle and would stop soon, but the rain became so heavy, I was forced to seek shelter about 500 metres away from my original spot.
But, behind the heavy rain, and my plan for a leisurely walk was hampered, it turned out that I took shelter in a row of shophouses with a coffee shop!
Actually, it's not specifically a coffee shop, because it's a grill restaurant that is also a place to sit back and enjoy coffee.
The resto I went to was at the end and on the second floor. So to access the restaurant, I had to pass through a narrow staircase. On the steps were positive affirmation words: ACTIVE, HELATHY, WIN, ENJOY. Unconsciously, every step I passed, I would read and recite the positive words silently. Until I finally reached the booking desk.
There was a sign that said DAM SHABU & GRILL but, there were my favourite americanos and other small menus.
The tables set up in the centre of the room were equipped with shabu and grill equipment, but there was no such equipment at the edges, so I was able to relax in this section.
Since it was raining, there were no other patrons besides me, so I was very free. Hahaha for some reason, I prefer the quiet atmosphere.
From my long table, I could enjoy the view of Lake Gintung. The rain was heavy, so the view of the lake wasn't too clear.
Have you ever had such an experience? Maybe I've told you in the past that every time I order an Americano, they also ask about the added sugar.
Back then, when I directly asked the baristas, they replied that it was rare for a woman to order bitter coffee. Then it became a common thing to ask for added sugar to women who ordered americano. Ckckcck
DAM SHABU &GRILL was no different. I immediately said NO SUGAR, not LESS SUGAR. Because a few times, I found a faint sweetness of gulla in my iced americano. LOL. The Americano they made was very tasty and refreshing.
Luckily, when my order came, my americano was without sugar sweetness. Yess... I was so happy.
Since I was a bit hungry, I ordered a portion of dim sum. I enjoyed these two menus while watching the rain that never stopped. It was actually almost sundown, so I had to hurry home. I planned that when the rain stopped and I finished my meal, I would hurry home. I also still had work to finish at home.
I marked DAM SHABU & RESTO in case I wanted to go back to enjoying ice amerikano while walking or exercising at the Situ Gintung dam.
I ended the day with a portion of meaty dimsum and a glass of properly brewed americano (No sugar) LOL. Thank you for reading my writing. See you in my future reviews.
