You know that feeling when people start to notice your efforts toward sustaining a clean environment? That was exactly how I felt this morning as I stepped out to engage in my daily cleaning activity.
As I went out, I overheard a neighbor scolding a teen girl for dumping litter in the streets instead of disposing of it properly. The neighbor told the girl it was very unfair of her to do such a thing, especially knowing how I try to keep the area clean. For a moment, I felt proud that someone recognized my efforts.
I met other people who commended me for always cleaning up, and some asked that I report anyone who interferes with my activity. My day was already made, and I couldn't be happier.
There weren't as many litters this time around, so I guess people are beginning to notice the difference between a littered environment and a clean one. I just went ahead to clear up the remaining litter left, packed them in my trash bag for proper disposal, and then headed back home to finish my chores and attend to other errands.
