Una amiga del grupo de acuarelistas vió mi interes en la pintura con gouaches y me regaló una caja que tenía guardada.
La caja de gouaches de marca pebeo estaban muy secas, pero busqué un tutorial para recuperarlas y fue tan facil como:
recortar el recipiente para sacar el bloque, echarle agua y machacar hasta tener una textura de crema.
Finalmente teniendo las gouaches, hice dos dibujos iguales para comparar con las acuarelas
A friend from the watercolor group saw my interest in painting with gouaches and gave me a box she had been saving.
The box of Pebeo gouaches was very dry, but I looked up a tutorial on how to recover them, and it was as easy as:
cutting the container to remove the block, pouring water over it, and mashing it until it had a creamy texture.
Finally, with the gouaches, I made two identical drawings to compare with the watercolors.
Inicialmente intenté aplicarlos de la misma forma, pero no comparas las acuarelas con oleo echandole agua, no?
Lo que hice fue que la naranja la hice en la técnica seca, con ello me di cuenta de que con el gouache necesito menos capas para lograr el resultado, mientras con las acuarelas logro mas textura al aplicar varias capas mas.
Luego pinté las frambuesas usando la técnica sobre mojado. al usar mucha agua los gouaches funcionaron exactamente igual que la acuarela, esa es mi percepción, me gustaría que los artistas que han probado ambas técnicas me den su punto de vista
Initially, I tried applying them the same way, but you don't compare watercolors with oil paint by adding water, do you?
What I did was do the orange using the dry technique. This made me realize that with gouache, I need fewer layers to achieve the result, while with watercolors, I achieve more texture by applying several more layers.
Then I painted the raspberries using the wet technique. By using a lot of water, the gouaches worked exactly the same as the watercolors. That's my perception. I'd like to hear from artists who have tried both techniques.
