I'm sorry to see you die now, I'm sure you thought you had more time. I just wanted to ask you some questions before you go, take your time and I want you think and reflect on your entire life before you answer, your answers will make a difference!
Are you ready? Cool, let's do this.
What do you regret the most? Are they the things you did and failed at or the things you never tried doing but always wondered what if?
Do you care about others opinion now? Are you afraid that they will judge you?
If somehow I had a button to click and get you back 20 years, what would you change this time? What will you differently?
What moments cross your mind now? Spending time with your boss at the office or the time you spent with your family?
Tell me about the last ten purchases you've made, do they matter now?
Who came here to visit you and say goodbye? I bet a lot of people didn't care to visit you today and won't even attend your funeral, why did you waste all that time with them then?
One last question before I go, how do you think people will remember you? What adjectives they might use to describe you? How long do you think it will take them to forget you?
I'm sorry that was long I know you're tired already, I just had to do this quick interview to teach younger people that even though we live our life seeking others validation and acceptance; nothing matters less at the end of the path. We make a lot of decisions based on how people would perceive us but at the end of the road it never makes a difference.
It's sad that we gave up so many things for the sake of others who were nowhere to be found when we're dying and leaving forever. If only we know that at the end, very few things matter!
Thank you for taking the time and .....///...... Goodbye, even I spending the last twenty minutes here didn't get a chance for a proper goodbye, your moment came and that's something we can't delay.
I hope you rest in peace. Call the ambulance please, William.
