💫 Ramadan Delight: Authentic Desi Chana Masala Recipe

    I hope you are happy and healthy.Today i will share a delicious chana masala. During Ramadan, families enjoy hearty dishes like Desi Chana Masala for breaking fast. This traditional recipe, passed down through generations, is aromatic and satisfying, perfect for iftar. Let's explore how to make this delightful dish at home.

    Ingredients
    2 cups desi chana (Bengal gram) soaked overnight

    1 onions, finely chopped
    1 tomato, finely chopped
    4 green chilies, chopped


    1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    1 teaspoon turmeric powder
    1 teaspoon red chili powder
    1 teaspoon garam masala
    1 teaspoon dried mango powder
    Salt to taste

    2 tablespoons cooking oil
    Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
    1 lemon

    Step by step
    🍀First, soak the deshi chana in water for 5 hours.Rinse the soaked chana under running water and drain them well.

    🍀 Then, in a pressure cooker, add the soaked chana along with turmeric, onions, tomato,green chilies, red chili powder, garam masala dried mango powder, oil and mix well together.

    🍀 Pour enough water to cover the deshi chana. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook for about 4 to 5 whistles or until the chickpeas are tender.

    🍀Once the pressure releases naturally, open the lid and check the consistency of the deshi chana.
    🍀If there is excess water in the chickpeas, bring them to a rapid boil to burn off the excess water.

    🍀Squeeze some lemon juice over the chane and give it a final stir.

    🍀Garnish the Desi Chana Masala with fresh coriander leaves.
