HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 219: TEACH US: AN ORIGINAL SONG
Hello beautiful people of hive open mic. I hope you are all doing great. Its been a while since i have not been around, due to some circumstances. Above all, i am super Glad to be able to rejoin this weekly celebrations. This week, we have an intresting theme which is Traditional Music, by my friend @ ernesto. I felicitate him for this.
In response to the theme of the week, it is important to mention that i was a bit puzzled about what to present, since i had a lot of options. Traditional music is my niche and I have scored very many of them. I had prepared to present a highlife traditional song by a popular band, known as Umuobiligbo. But after a while, It came to my mind to actually perform my own song.
It is a song I composed about a year ago. I composed it in the honour of the blessed Virgin Mary the mother of Jesus Christ. I titled it as TEACH US. It is a song that reflects the idea that since mary was the mother of Christ and had so deep connection with him, she must have known and loved him so deeply. Tgherefore, it is valid to say that she can teach us also to love Jesus deeply and profoundly.
I composed the song with traditional vibe although with a mixture of english and Igbo languages in the lyrics. I hope you enjoy my humble composition.
