    Christianity is an interesting journey.

There are so many denominations and debates seem to pop up time and time again. Different beliefs, but we are all reading the same bible right?

    Right?

However, one thing most of Christendom seem to all agree upon is...Matthew 28.

Around the end of the chapter, Jesus says to His disciples:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

The great commission. Oh yeah, we agree on that, but then are we Trinitarian or not? Oh boy, that's another debate for another day lol But at the end of the day, Christians around the world do agree, we are to take the gospel to everyone we can.

There are ways to tactfully do it, and then there are 'in your face' methods too. Personally, I've had an issue with the in your face method and I wanted to share why I believe, the Holy Spirit will lead people to truth, no matter what method you use.

So like I mentioned, I don't believe in the 'repent now or burn in hell forever' method. Here's why, God gives us choice and freedom. If God is love (1 John 4:8) He wants us to come to Him willingly. With an open heart and accept Him. There is nothing forced on how He wants (and deserves) worship. We are to come to Him, freely!

Think about that for a second....Love cannot exist without two parties freely coming together. God cannot have automatons worshipping Him out of fear of being destroyed if they don't bow down. That's not love. And again, God is love. Not loving, not lovely....He is LOVE.

That is so powerful once you get it.

So back to the great commission....I know I'm supposed to spread the gospel. But how can I? I'm no preacher. I'm no theologian. I'm just a dude online.....Which actually, works. Here's how...

I've been talking about my faith for a while now. Not only on chain here, but for years on social media. I try to always show a Christ-like attitude and make my faith, attractive to others. I don't pretend to know it all, I don't judge people, I don't force things down people's throat. I just share my testimony for my friends and followers.

I was blown away today when poking around social media, as a friend of mine recently came back to his faith. He started going to church again, doing bible studies and has once again found God. Amazing!!!

What blew my mind was what he told me when I celebrated his new found passion for Christ:

    All! Praises! Due!!!!

    God truly is remarkable.

And it's not like He needs our help. Once the Holy Spirit is in you, nothing can stop Him. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't do what we can to show our faith to the world.

You don't need to be a pastor or a preacher to share your faith. The great commission doesn't even proclaim that, we are to take His message to the world...By any way that we can. Read 1 Corinthians 12 to learn exactly what we can each do, with the gifts that God has given us.

The in your face methods may work for some....I prefer to just share my testimony!

A sinner saved by grace through faith :)
