¡Feliz Domingo para todos!. Hoy quiero compartirles fotografías de unos divertidos cuadros que se encuentran en la sede fundadora de mi institución musical. Un mágico lugar que ha sido fundamental para mi agrupación coral y que es casi un museo de historia por todas las reliquias que ahí se conservan; el mismo Maestro Abreu trabajó aquí durante años.
Happy Sunday to all of you!. Today I want to share with you pictures of some fun paintings that are in the founding headquarters of my musical institution. A magical place that has been fundamental for my choral group and that is almost a museum of history for all the relics that are preserved there; Maestro Abreu himself worked here for years.
Pasan los años y cada vez que camino por este angosto pasillo me detengo un momento a admirar un poco los cuadros, siempre descubro algo nuevo, pero extrañamente esta semana me atreví a tomarle fotografías para cargarlos conmigo. No tengo idea de quien sea el autor original, pero como pueden ver al final de cada cuadro está una invitación a la página web oficial de la Filarmónica de Berlín.
Years go by and every time I walk down this narrow corridor I stop for a moment to admire the paintings, I always discover something new, but strangely this week I dared to take pictures to carry them with me. I have no idea who the original author is, but as you can see at the end of each picture is an invitation to the official website of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
Como les mencioné, el pasillo es muy angosto, así que ha sido complicado tomar las fotografías para compartirlas con ustedes, pero con un poco de magia de PhotoDirector App he logrado un poco lo que quería. As I mentioned, the hallway is very narrow, so it has been complicated to take the pictures to share them with you, but with a little magic of PhotoDirector App I have achieved a little of what I wanted. In this small art gallery you can appreciate the image of five of the most famous composers in history such as Franz Schubert, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; in fact they make reference to very famous paintings of these great artists of history, but the phenomenal thing about the gallery called "Privat" is to show them doing everyday activities.
Justo en mi post de ayer les conté que estábamos grabando la nueva obra sinfónico coral de un compositor joven que fue parte de la coral a la cual pertenezco. Su música es gloriosa, al mismo nivel que las composiciones de los artistas que aparecen en estos cuadros. Uno escucha la música y ve su impacto en el tiempo y piensa en estos señores como personas inalcanzables, reyes en su tiempo y adinerados, y quizás lo fue así en algunos casos, pero resulta que fueron personas reales como tú y yo que posiblemente comían pollo con las manos cuando estaban en la intimidad de su hogar y hasta lavaban los platos.
Just in my post yesterday I told you that we were recording the new choral symphonic work of a young composer who was part of the choir to which I belong. His music is glorious, on the same level as the compositions of the artists featured in these paintings. One listens to the music and sees its impact over time and thinks of these gentlemen as unattainable people, kings in their time and wealthy, and perhaps they were in some cases, but it turns out that they were real people like you and me who possibly ate chicken with their hands when they were in the privacy of their home and even washed the dishes.
Tengo dos imágenes favoritas de las cinco que hay, la de Beethoven afeitándose la barba y la de Mozart cepillando sus dientes; posiblemente porque estoy familiarizado con esas poses de los cuadros originales. A mí me parece una genialidad a quien se le haya ocurrido esta idea, y en esta era donde hasta los artistas contemporáneos se burlan de grandes personalidades de la historia me parece que este trabajo está hecho con mucho cariño y respeto, al menos como músico así lo siento yo y me alegra que sea parte de este lugar histórico donde casi a diario me toca ir a hacer música... Espero les haya gustado esta pequeña galería y aprovecho de invitar a mis amistades a publicar en nuestra comunidad hispana La Colmena. ¡Feliz inicio de semana! ✌️
I have two favorite images out of the five, the one of Beethoven shaving his beard and the one of Mozart brushing his teeth; possibly because I am familiar with those poses from the original paintings. I think it is a stroke of genius whoever came up with this idea, and in this era where even contemporary artists make fun of great personalities of history, it seems to me that this work is done with great affection and respect, at least as a musician I feel that way and I am glad that it is part of this historical place where almost daily I have to go to make music...
