Well Hivers I’ve been waiting for this to turn up for a while from Amazon in hindsight it would have been a little cheaper and quicker if I’d ordered it direct from Raycue but you live and learn.
It’s not my first dock from Raycue as I use one with my M2 Mac Mini I bought in 2022. The 1TB m2 drive for data and extra USB ports and card slots in that docking station have been invaluable. I have I impressed with the build quality then and I don’t think I’ll be disappointed with the new on for the new M4 Mac Mini.
First things first time to add the 2Tb M2 data drive.
Now it’s just a case of plugging in the Thunderbolt link from the M4 Mac Mini. Other handy ports on the back are the 3mm speaker jack and HDMI port for an extra monitor. The USB port on the back is perfect for my FaceTime camera.
It’s a perfect fit under the M4 Mac Mini and the all alloy construction is rock solid band the extra USB ports and SD card slots on the front are really handy for cameras and 3D printing.
All in all Hivers the Raycue dock station is a perfect companion for the M4 Mac Mini, it’s just a pity that the Thunderbolt 4 version is not available yet as that would make the disk transfers so much quicker and I would probably gone with that even if it will be a bit more expensive.
It’s good to see that Raycue listen to feed back as one of the early complaints from the first models that were shipped was that the flat bladed screw driver supplied with the doc stripped the cross head screws on the M2 drive cover. My version arrived with both a cross head and flat bladed driver.
