Girl's schoolmate crush is an author in a popular monthly Shōjo (romantic) manga magazine aimed at a teenage female readers.
Protagonists work together, seeking inspiration for manga characters and situations in other students they know.
Good hilarious humorous situations, like when Nozaki invites friends for sleepover and only observers them, not participating in their activities but taking notes of what they talk about, to later turn their conversation into girls-talk, which does not work of course. Another fun situation is when girl picks up manga magazine that fell from the boy's backpack and notices many colour bookmarks and handwritten notes. Surprised that he have such magazine in a first place, she wonders just how much attention boys pay to girls' manga, later realising (to her shock) that he remembers all manga characters' names and their dialogue lines. Little did she know that he writes for this very manga magazine...
