The weekend is a time when the hustle of the week eases into the quiet hum of leisure. But this past weekend, particularly Saturday and Sunday, was marked by a poignant event that brought both reflection and a sense of community; The Memorial of Christ's Death.

    Saturday's Preparations

The day before the event, we dedicated our time to ensuring everything would be perfect. We visited Merry Home Hotels in Aba, the venue for the upcoming memorial. Our hands worked in unison, cleaning every corner, arranging chairs in neat rows, and testing the audio-visual equipment. The lightening system was checked and rechecked to cast a warm glow over the attendees. It was a day filled with anticipation and a shared commitment to honor the occasion.

    Sunday's Memorial

On Sunday, 24th of March 2024, the air was filled with a solemn excitement as we gathered to commemorate the memorial of Jesus' death. It was an event that started at the golden hour of 6:30 PM, just as the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and purple.

The program lasted an hour but its impact, timeless. It highlighted the importance of Jesus' sacrifice and the hope it instills in us. The words spoken were like seeds planted in the fertile soil of our hearts, promising to grow into strong trees of faith and love.

As the event drew to a close, we echoed the sentiments of gratitude and hope. We packed the equipment with care, restored the hall to its pristine state, and left with hearts fuller than when we arrived. The physical work was done, but the spiritual journey had been renewed.

    Conclusion

The weekend was more than just two days off from work; it was a testament to the power of collective memory and the strength it gives us to face the days ahead. As we returned home, the echo of the day's message lingered, reminding us that hope is never too far away, and that together, we can keep the flame of faith burning bright.
